Well, I was at D*C and saw the Wizkids display with the new BT minis. Something called Mechwarrior : Dark Age, or something like that. These things have chainsaws on their arms and look REALLY like Gundams and other such Anime Mecha. It was really depressing. I've been a BT fan since Mechwarrior 2 in the old DOS days and to see BT taken in such a strange way.

*sidelong glance*
...thou shalt NOT mention that bastardized perversification of the Battletech Universe in mine presence.
*end rant*
Tygon, 3060 and 67 don't have the anime problem. Just trust me on this, and check out the site. Also, Amazon WILL ship to Germany.
Anyways.... Sabrina.... other tie-ins.... yeah.... _________________ (00:40:05) nbz: you win at the motherf***ing internet O_O |

I suppose next we'll have a Star Wars Sabrina-verse tie-in. We already have Babylon 5. Of course, that is okay, because of the connection to Amigas. And he have a BT tie-in. Why? Who knows. _________________ ~Sammie the Pizza Box

Okay, I admit the Mech designs are back to the old concepts, what is MUCH better. But they are not serious about the AF1 Arctic Fox are they?

Ooh... can we make RC an Ewok? Actually, I think someone already did a picture of Sabrina in 'the suit'. You know full well what I speak of. _________________ (00:40:05) nbz: you win at the motherf***ing internet O_O |

Tygon, from what I saw of it. It was like the first succession war, only with new Anime-like mechs. Really, really sad. Even all the houses were gone. The new SLDF is history, don't know what happened to it, probably never will since the books are still in the, what, 3070s? _________________ ~Sammie the Pizza Box

Am currently writing BattleTech/furry crossover. It was intended to be a Sabrinaverse story, but EWS tends to be rather... enthusiastically motivated... when it comes to copyrights; as such I am still debating whether including Sabrina or my backup, just-as-defined secondary heroine. Would be in the years 3062-3067, right in the middle of the FedCom Civil War. May do a spin-off set during the Clan Invasion of 3049.
Hey.... the ages fit.... just thought of how I can make this work with both timelines...(Tygon probably knows what I'm thinking about.) Anyways, keep in mind that this is a rather dark, negative future for furrykind. It may be the 3060s, but all the Succession Wars have knocked the technology level all the way back to the 2200s. A modern-day Abrams tank could go up against a 60-tonner and win 3 times in 10. What I'm getting at is that this story will have profanity and it will have graphic violence. Although if there is any sexual content, it would likely stay at the level of SOtS, nothing more. For these reasons, in addition to several more, I'm still balking at including a female skunk named Sabrina (or Tabitha, for that matter) in it. Opinions?

I think I know what you're thinking about and if I'm right this could get very interesting.
Anyway, I have 2 comments.
First: Don't try to compare present technology with Battletech technology. It doesn't work. There was a very interesting article about it on a German Battletech page. The problem is that to make it playable as a table top (what Battletech still is, the computer games are all called Mechwarrior [impossible to get in Germany BTW]) the weapons have a very limited range. The result is that most weapons in Battletech don't have a range that much above 500 meters so a modern day tank, which has a range of 2000 meters and more, could simply shoot a Mech into pieces before it get's close enough to be a danger.
Second: What do I have to do to make you include Tygon in that story? _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species
