Truly, truly sorry about the deer, my friend. And the car. Fortunately, you weren't hurt, so there's something.

Um...you're a pastor? For real?

Aren't you the same guy who runs that other site that features...ahem...advanced knot-tying skills? You must belong to a VERY understanding parish! Cool Very Happy

Thanks, man. More my pride hurt than anything, personal-wise-speaking. Hurting the wallet more than anything now.

Your karma must have run over someone's dogma recently. $2500 in parts? Is the van even worth that much? Seriously. I'd sell the van for parts and put a down payment on something that can go right through any more dumbass deer. *Cough*DodgeRam*Cough* A real SUV or a big truck can take a LOT more abuse than a minivan, and gets the same gas mileage. (Speaking from experience here-- hit a 10-pointer in an '88 Suburban. Needed a new bumper and a paint marker.)

That or just move down here man. The deer are (1) smaller, (2) smarter, and (3) don't count against your bag limit. You need all the help you can get on that last one. Rolling Eyes

Dude, it's an '01 model and I have another 3.5 years to pay on it. Yeah, it's worth that much.

Not to mention it's our only means of transportation!

If I were a man of unlimited means, I might go with that.

Ow. I was under the impression that you had an older model van. That makes things a bit more difficult.

Maybe you can start moonlighting with the state Fish & Wildlife Service. They've got a Population Control division, right?

This whole thing with Chris hitting the deer is starting to feel a little ominous to me as I'm buying a brand new van myself. But I don't see many deer and when I do they're usualy smart enough to move away from the lights.

Chris,
Very sorry about the deer. can't figure out why you're such a magnet for them.

Big congratulations on your ordination. Pastor Yost. has a nice ring to it.

Tigermark (Does this mean you'll be helping moderate the Christian Furs panel at MFM next year? *smile*)
