So, how many furs are doing the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo, or just Nano) this year?
If you don't know what Nano is, the basic idea is to write a novel, 50,000 words or more, during the month of November. That's just 1663 words a night, and it is as hard and as easy as it sound.
This would be my third year of doing the competition, and it always been fun for me, as well as a good excuse to write. |

I was thinking of giving it a shot, as long as time doesn't be evil and try and steal itself from me. |

I would love to, have plenty of ideas, however time is something I do not have during November. Perhaps next year. _________________ Doctor Kayngi

Ah, well... This isn't for me.
Not because I wouldn't be able to meet the 50k words (as long as my job doesn't stress me out too much), but mainly since I don't usually write on one story for that long, but I work on several stories in parallel.
In my best month I have done 35k and I know that I could have done a lot more if I had pushed myself. And if I didn't spend time to proofread/edit the chapters so I can post them.
Also, November is not a good time for this, at least in my line of work. Too many customers want their things to be finished this year, because they have the money left in the budget. _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

Sounds like fun. But im not sure my writing style really leans towards that sort of contest. The whole organic writing thing can be a bit tempramental. Sometimes Ill end up rewriting a small section several times instead of continuing on. oh well. Next year may be feasable. _________________ "Don't let morals get in the way of doing the right thing." -Isaac Asimov |
