Well, it's been my expereance that guys who act like he has are just plain up to no good. That and most of the evil beings we've meet so far seem to go for the 'suit, cane, and top hat' look that the mouse has. Or I could just paranoid of people in dress like that, stupid sterotypes.

Seems more like the mouse would be the angel or being that Arden spent his time with while in the crystal. Said being also helped with the girl who made the ultimate sacrifice.

I don't know about Anatol, but as for the mouse the only two we've seen who'd have dragon eyes would be Arden or Lakash and I doubt it's Lakash since he's been put out to pasture. Then again if Lakash has been stripped of his power just who is guarding the vail between realms?
