In point of fact, he's had one in every strip since the summer started. It's his annual "summer cameo" series. MOST people had to request a cameo, Mark requested ME to have a cameo. And that, I know for a fact, is pretty rare, Tygon Panthera. _________________ Alexi Fontantine

This in from Norway:
This years Nobel Peace Price goes to Jimmy Carter, a former president of the USA.
Curious isn't it, that there are more than 300 peace prices in the world, and the one that ranks the highest is decided by five relatively unknown Norwegians.
I also wonder why Alfred Nobel decided that Norway was to handle the peace price, instead of Sweden which handles all the others...
Why can't I ever remember the password when I'm away from the office? |

First off, I don't think THAT Cheetaur is the Cheetaur that you're thinking of. I asked THAT Cheetaur if he was THAT Cheetaur had he basically said no. But, I'll admit, I could be wrong.
As for proving, well, which do you want me to prove? That Mark Stanley asked me if I wanted a cameo, or that it's something that doesn't happen very often? And, more importantly, why do I need to prove anything to you, MDH?
Mark Stanley took cameo requests here: http://nice.purrsia.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=21&t=000313&p=
You'll notice an absence of my name on the list. Of course, I could have sent him a private email asking him for a cameo, and, you're right, I couldn't disprove that. But, if that is true, then why did he send this to me via my PRIVATE email account:
Greetings,
Having looked through the cameo thread and not finding your listing there,
I find myself in a bit of confusion to if you wanted to show up in the
comic as a cameo or not. So figured I would write you and ask. Would you like to be cameo'd?
Sincerely,
Mark Stanley
I suspect presenting this information to you is rather like the Cancer Man giving Mulder and Scully documents in a plain, brown manila envelope. You don't know where it came from, you can't prove any of it, and if you look hard enough, you'll eventually find you can't verify anything. Such is the pessimist mind at play.

I know only one Cheetaur, I asked him and he confirmed it. I also happen to know the pic he sent to Mark Stanley for reference.

I think the similarity is not difficult to notice.
I guess you're talking about a different Cheetaur. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Well, I said I could be wrong. I'm wrong. But, hey, when I asked YOU Cheetaur if you were Cheetaur on the FF forum, you didn't confirm it. Guess I didn't ask the right question... should have asked if you were mfwhite... (though I didn't know your handle here then). Ah, paradoxes, got to love them! _________________ Alexi Fontantine

I wonder...
Am I the only one NOT showing up in Freefall?
Maybe I need to sneak Florence into one of my stories... _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

Not quite, I haven't showed up there yet, but then I've never asked if I could

I got this in a reader feedback on the Anthrofiction site today:
Comments: I really liked your story in that the plot was
actually semi plausible. However I feel that there are too many
things left unanwsered in both the Fang series and R'srh Dana's
Diarys. I know that writing is often a frustrating and time
consuming task. It is my humble request that you continue both of
the above mentioned series. I know that this e-mail is unlikely
to affect your decision, but please give it a moments thought if
you will even consider continueing the afformented series.
I just wish that whoever it was (Someone on chartermi.net judging by the IP address) could tell me what he feels is left unanswered...
Or even his email address so that I could reply to him...
(I always respond to fan mail, there's so little of it that it doesn't take long)
And the storyline isn't dead... _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

I got a phonecall from the hospital today....
No, they didn't tell me that I have five days left, and that the message was delayed by four...
They just wanted half a liter of red liquid from me.
Guess they've run out of A rh- then.
Are YOU a blood donor?
No?
Why not?
And don't give me that crap about fainting if you see a needle!
(I get VERY queasy if I don't look away myself ) _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

Yep. Have been for many years. My wife is more active about it than I am, though, since she is a platelet donor and can give every ten days. From me, they would rather have packed RBC, and only let me give once every sixteen weeks.
We are both A rh- as well.
And, no, needles don't really bother me. Clueless or incompetent phlebotomists, on the other hand .... OUCH!! _________________ Oddly enough, my life is based on a true story. (Ashleigh Brilliant) |
