Aaand my section is now posted at the Den, craftily coded onto the story by SC's coding talent. This is my last section of this story also, so now it goes to Aslaug. Thanks for reading.

And if you observe any of said "funky coding artifacts," please drop me a line and let me know about it, so I can clean up the mess. I previewed the markup in Firefox 3.0.3, Netscape 7.1, IE6.0, and Opera, and didn't see any glaring issues. If I missed any, I'd appreciate someone leading me by the nose to my own mess.
Gently ... leading me by the nose ... thanks.

"funky coding artifacts?" Which ear did you pull that expression out of, T? _________________ =====

Yep, me too. Getting a combination of symbols, including the Euro currency symbol.
I am using IceWeasel, Debian's rebranding of Firefox, and the version number is a 2.x, although not very far back from 3.x. I don't remember exactly where they are in the update cycle.

Hey Nicolai, do these errors occur only in the latest addition, or all the way through the document? I can correct them if I have a bit better idea of what I'm looking for. Just the quote marks?

SC, they don't show in the text on Dreamweaver, but they do show when I view it on my site with Firefox 3. And yes, only in the last addition. Didn't we go through this problem once before? The odd character pattern looks familiar. It's quotation marks and apostrophes, and maybe some other punctuations.

Very interesting, T. Those weird characters are in your source code for the page, but do not appear in the source code I sent you. Let me explore this a bit further off line with you at our earliest opportunity. I, too, use Firefox (3.0.4) as my default browser, the source code at The Range is devoid of those characters, and I see no problems there. Somehow that stuff got inserted / changed when I e-mailed the code to you.
Today is the Great Southern California Shakeout, an event I've been gearing up towards for the past few months, most actively for the past several weeks. Following today's exercise and the inevitable "hot washes" afterwards, which will extend into next week, I should have a lot more free time to devote to looking into this. I beg your patience with me ...
<scratches head> Maybe my brain is cold from that fur that's missing. Too bad Fraz threw that bag away.
Off to work now. Later ...

It's probably an artifact from going between different systems. I get similar things on a semi-regular basis, because I run Linux. I'm not sure exactly what happens, but what it seems like to me is the ASCII code interpretation is slightly different on different systems. But then I'm only a little geek. It takes a big geek to solve problems like this.

Hey SC and TM-
Can you two furs say "Thank You Technology?" I knew you could.
Some WYSIWYG looking program might have done that to ya, if I have my guess right. After viewing the source code for that, weird characters and all, I have to wonder if that's what happened. The program blew out the quotes and the apostrophes.
I code my stuff by paw with a very simple inline style sheet and as of late, I use OpenOffice to make a PDF file out of it. No formatting issues there and everyone sees it the way I wrote it, typo's and all. Maybe I should find a proofer somewhere ...
Hope you two figure out the problem because the stuff posted at The Range looked OK.

Okay, until we can sort out the problem, anyone who wants to read the latest ALN section should look it up at SC's site, The Range.

And here's a link that will take you directly to ALN at The Range.

OK gang, my first pass at the fix has been sent over to the Tiger's e-mail box. Stand by for ... something. Hopefully it'll all look like it should now.

Sorry for the delay. I've been afk for a couple of days, but tonight I posted SC's newest version and it looks fine. Problem solved for now.
Thanks, Amigo.

Better, much better though there are still some '/ae crossovers, but it's managable....(least on this server/interface, you're crossovers may vary) |

Ah ... you are correct! The dreaded ellipsis. Missed those few. I make the correction and forward it on to the tiger. Thanks, Fraz!
