I think our beloved lion-cat has his paws full these days, dear. I'm sure he'll get around to it... eventually. <looks at Aramis> Just teasing a bit, buddy.
I hadn't realized I wasn't the record holder. I just know that I had it for a long time. <bows to Aramis> I acknowledge superior staying power, and am humbled by it's presence. <tips hat>
In any event, when the next part does show up, I'm sure it will be excellent. This whole adventure was his creation, after all...

I have been wondering about an update to ALN too-
I will read it when it shows up, hoping for it to be as inspired as the previous chapters.
(has to tell stablemate in the background that I'm being very patient)
No rush...

Well, I can be patient, too. I was just wondering whose turn it was (is?) and if there was any idea when.
Just a little gentle poke for the current author. Guess I'll have to wait another ten months or so before I can get out the pointy stick.
I really enjoy this story, so I am looking forward, with all the patience I can muster, to the next chapter. _________________ Nicolai

For those who get their ALN fix here at the Tiger's Den, The latest installment is now up for your reading pleasure. The buck, er, book, er, story now falls into the honorable and quite verbose Silver Coyote's lap.

Woa, round two indeed!
Nice work on the battle action there, Tigermark. Good imagery! So here we have Aslaug out of commission for the time being, Cutter is fighting by proxy, and Joe & TM need to act fast. hehehe, no, actually Aramis Dagaz wrote this latest section. The reins now pass to SC, then to me, and then to Aslaug, and then back to Aramis. Thanks for the compliment to the story, Teric, but I can't take credit for any part but that fonted in Arial Helvetica. You'll notice each contributing author has their own sections, displayed in a different font that the others.

ACK pardon me! Silly dragon.
I noticed the two-pronged fork gap generators from Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Made me laugh! _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

Huzzah! SC's newest section of ALN is up and running at the Tiger's Den! Now it's my turn to get to writing.

TM-
You are really going to have your paws full trying to match that piece-
Especially SC's bad guys ... it was intense bu it was also hard to keep from laughing, too.
The ending ... I mean ... I didn't see that coming! I'll have to wait and see how this develops.

I'm trying to puzzle out who he's talking about for each part. Aslaug's immortality could be viewed from either side. Whichever it is, is the other referring to himself? It's been so long since I started reading ALN/ALS that I don't recall if either one applies to anyone in the group other than the filly.
Wasn't the desired BOOM supposed to be for Cutter's powerbase?

Hi Amiga -
Aslaug never dies, hence the "immortality" everyone keeps referring to. The other three (Aramis, Joe, and Tigermark) are "repairable," not "immortal." They get broken, they die. Their missions can and sometimes do end up with one or more of them injured to some extent. At the conclusions of some of these missions they are "rebuilt." This is alluded to in some of the other ALN-arc stories each of the authors has written, mine was a short piece called "Nine millimeters and a Million Miles."
Joe's question to which you refer is somewhat rhetoric, in that Aslaug will never know death and he will never know immortality. He's also a bit frustrated by the entire situation, as he remarks in his earlier diatribe to the assembled warriors. Perhaps he's had enough and is looking for the quick solution ...
Cutter's power base was referred to in conversation, yes. Has it been dealt with? Is Joe gone? Will the rest of the team rescue the fair Fallona and return her to her father, the King?
<looks at Tigermark> ...?
I wanted to give my friend over there on the green side of the river a few things to tussle with. <winks> Have fun, T.

*Now grins* Believe me, I will.
