I did something similar at the Smithsonian in D.C (or was it the Franklin institute in Philly?).
You poured sand on the metal plate, then used an industrial sized violin bow to "play" the plate like one plays violin on a saw.
Your link is much more interactive to the observer. _________________ Masochist to Sadist: Hurt me.

<tries to think of some way to tie this to Planetfurry>
Ahh, got it!
Put on your studio quality headphones then turn up the volume (loud is better) and click on the eyes.
Despite appearances, this is work safe.
I did, and it made all my fur stand straight out!

I've been trying to get back into the independent computer gaming scene, and I simply must present two of my favorites. The first is an old favorite, N, a clever and addictive puzzle platformer that I've been playing it for about 2 years now and still haven't even gotten half the levels unlocked.
The second is one that I've just come across tonight, and it is easily the best excuse ever to get into indy gaming - it's called the white chamber, and it's a sickeningly twisted psychological horror adventure in the same vein as Silent Hill. It is definitely not work-safe, nor is it for the kids!
Both of these, by the way, are completely and totally free. _________________ "This is fascinating. A whole tribe of people who prefer to interact as furry animals rather than human beings." -Gil Grissom

More tech, but not funny.
The layman's explanation of DRM. That really is David Berlind. "Don't buy any technology that has C.R.A.P. in it..."
