Great Chapter, Some of the timeing seams off thou.... another Cliffhanger.... great, all I can say with a cliffhanger like that dont take long posting the next chapter
As for the timeing... Im trying to place it in sync with ZZStudios version and its not fitting
I know that events from your story does not coencide with ZZStudios version when events come into effect but it seams too scrunched up story wise

Hikaru stated that it will follow the ZZ Studios storyline, but that the story won't be totally bound to it. That's why the events may not coincide.

Remember that ZZ Studios hasn't taken more than a few months to progress since the time IC has started. IC on the other hand has moved forwards by a month.

Add in the divergence of Arden's entrance and all the other things, and the timeline won't EVER meet up.

Well I thought it was a great chapter. All the interactions with James and Zig were very well done, it was almost like reading a chapter of ZZtS. I don't mean to come off like your personal cheering section every time you post a chapter, but I'm truly impressed. I think you're getting better, for what that's worth. The only thing I noticed that drew me out of the story a little bit was using "the skunk" to describe Zig a little too often. Like:

"James!" the skunk declared at the unexpected sight. "What are you doing here?"

You only used it 4 times but it was all within the same section of the chapter. On the other paw, that doesn't really seem that unreasonable so maybe it's just me. You know I'm not much of a critic, heh. But I did like this chapter very much, it had a nice cohesive feel to it and it served to move the story ahead nicely.

Yah, well... I was just trying to break it up from being Zig said all the time... I really dislike "he said, she said" stuff, so that's why I didn't use it that much...

I'll keep that in mind.
