Interesting, i think PF has gotten itself into an endless loop on one of the threads; for no matter how long I waited, I cant post on the Q/A Game Thread of Ongoing Threads Forum
http://www.planetfurry.com/forums/posting.php?mode=reply&t=1460
; gives me :
"You cannot make another post so soon after your last; please try again in a short while."
And believe me.. I have waited... long enough to walk the long halls of this school I work in to use the teacher's room and come back... _________________ SHARKS In The Gene Pool South of Kosovo!

Added: It seemed to have fixed itself after I cleared the cache and refreshed the page. _________________ SHARKS In The Gene Pool South of Kosovo!

Now that's a good one...
Somehow, the thread out is out of whack...
Nite's post was the one I'm answering in the thread, but somehow, my post ended up before his...
*Scratches head...*
The day before, something simillar happened;
On a closed thread my Maxx, I was posting a reply before Maxx closed it. I had to step away for a bit to deal with some class/student issues, and came back almost an hour later, and posted my reply.
By then, Maxx had closed the fourm, but my reply manged to get posted anyway.
In the past, when a thread was closed while I was posting on it, I got a reply saying, "This is a locked Thread/Forum..."
Is something screwy here of is it my dumb luck? _________________ SHARKS In The Gene Pool South of Kosovo!

There was a problem yesterday around 2pm EST where there was a brief power outage at the ISP hosting the server. For some strange reason, the hardware clock lost an hour. I found the problem later in the evening and reset the clock.
I'm betting since the timestamp of your first message was greater than your second, it thought you were flooding the BBS. Not really a bug with phpBB, since it just uses the system clock for timestamps.
Concerning your other issue, I don't think it's much of a problem. I'll check around the phpBB support boards to see if anyone else has this issue, and if they have a fix if necessary. |

Have you got a time-deamon running on that box? I've got one ISP who's cmos clock wanders all over the spectrum so I loaded a timed on it and sync it with an up stream host. Fixed the problem right off the bat. _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com
