When I re-read the story, I noticed a conversation between Sarah and Zig Zag:
Quote:
She paused "What about your husband?"

Zig Zag looked at her for a moment "He's cool with it. He was very happy when I told him that I won't act in the movies any more.
...

Was Zig just keeping personal details to a minimum by not correcting "husband" to "boyfriend", or did you space out on it there? Or is this a version where Zig is already married to James (I didn't think so).

And yes, I realize this isn't canon to the other stories. Wink

I think you missed an important element this story is taking place some years after the events told in ZZtS or SOtS in SiaSL the year is 2003 not 1999 and so Nameless is taking some artistic license in having ZZ and James married.

Styx said it. By this time Zig and James would have been together for 3 years or so, so I decided that they'd have married.

Shocked Given the nature of Zig's friends, the party on the night before the wedding (can't remember the proper english word for it) must have been quite interesting... Shocked Embarassed Rolling Eyes Wink

Chapter 4 is posted.

I took an idea from a rather well-known webcomic. Can anyone spot it? Wink

As I read it, the only comic that came to mind was Twokinds, due to the name of one of the characters and some similarity of their situations.

Oh, nice chapter. Took a bit of getting re-oriented since it's been a while since I read the last chapter. A clever game of cat-and-mouse going on.

So, they think Flora's becoming infatuated with Chris and think it may be a useful experiment. But what if (and I think this is the case) Chris doesn't cooperate with that part of their plans (After all, pretty or not, she's not Sarah)?

True, I think they might find it necessary abduct Sarah if Chris is unwilling to play along, of course they could just take what they need from him and inseminate Flora when she goes into heat. Greate chapter Nameless keep it up.

In case anyone was wondering, the reference was of course to Freefall, specifically comic #508.

That's not the only place I've seen scent as a way of keeping memories for species that have a better sense of smell and which rely on it heavily in their interaction with the world around them. There were references to it in one of the Sholan Alliance books by Lisanne Norman, and in Light on Shattered Water by Greg Howell. One of my novels in progress (which has been on the back burner for a long time but which I hope to get back to one day) is centered heavily around that sort of thing.

It was also mentioned in Ian Schue's Thorhammer series. The fox Tamean was given a scent box as a parting gift.
