Well, it's been nice while it lasted...
I've just uninstalled UT2004. Why you ask? Well, there is some incompatibility problem with my video card. Every now and then the game causes my entire computer to freeze and after forcefully resetting it I have to reinstall my video drivers. I really don't feel like doing that 5 times every day and so I won't be playing UT2004 anymore.
Sorry.
BTW: this isn't a new error. Several games have the same problem, namely Neverwinter Nights and Black & White. I really don't know what the problem is and haven't found a solution yet. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Ok i was *THIS* close to uninstalling UT2004, because it would crash, when exiting to windows, and as of late, while loading a map, and i mean butt ugly crash, reboot and all, VERY annoying...
But, for once the blue screen stayed, and showed me a CMUDA.DLL file that was the cause of the crash, and it is the driver that controls the audio in my compy... sooooooooo... i went to windoze update... and checked out what could be updated for my sound hardware, and lucky me there was a february 2004 update for it, so i got it, and the one time i played UT2004 last night, it ran ok, no crashes... i hope it stays that way... so bottomline is: if UT2004 crashes on you, it probably is a driver (video or audio) that needs upgrade.
On another note, the unreal guys decided to make 2 new onslaught maps ONLY for XP, what a bunch of cocks, so thanks to Penny Arcade i got this link... its the same maps but for other windows based OS's.
Have fun.

I know the problem. My computer does this as well. However, it gets unfreezed after a long wait. Try updating your video and sound drivers. Post a reply if you need any help doing that...
You can also send some questions and reading the FAQ at ATARI's site. You can contact their tech support as well. Don't give this great game up this quickly ;D I still didn't get to kick your bottom! _________________

Already did that several times and it never helped. Tomorrow I'll most likely get a new video card. Hopefully that will solve the problem. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species
