In preparation for the release of Furrette 2.0, I've been working on accessories. This particular hairstyle was inspired by a certain famous furry "actress" ....
Although Poser 5 has dynamic strand-based hair, most Poser users prefer the time-honoured technique of layered, transmapped meshes, which work in earlier versions of the software and can be animated through morphs or rigging. The Ziggy hair is ~9000 polygons, and has additional bones to make the bangs and tresses posable.
I've attached an MPEG video of the hair in motion. |

Not bad!
However, you're forgetting that wind isn't a continuous stream of air. It fluctuates and shrinks. Have a go altering the flow of air in the hair!
Otherwise, I think it's fantastic. I wish I had a 3D modeling studio. _________________ -=Scifer. Badgerfox.

I'll keep that in mind, scifer. This was only a one-second animation, though; it just plays longer because it's in slo-mo.
MilkShape's only $25, and that's what I used to build Furrette and the hair.
There are plenty of other affordable modeling applications out there, some of them completely free (Wings 3D, Blender, etc.). So stop wishing and start downloading! |

Good work on useing that Mapper, hehe. Could this maybe lead to a future animation of the poser models you have worked up?

Heh, wouldn't that make an interesting screen-saver...
Nice picture, Mapper. Keep up the good work. _________________ Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. Fellow creators the creator seeks--those who write new values on new tablets.

Ill have to get some lessons from the master of Poser animation Old LittleDragon there first. my timing is messed up. Not to mention I really have to fix her stripes for an animation. if viewed from front or back shes fine but from the side without post render touchup everything is misalighned. _________________
