He suddenly becomes aware again and finds that quite a bit of time has passed for him in the blink of an eye.
He seems to know what happend to them and is not telling anyone about it. Is the time shift a side effect of his encounter with this "thing"? |
Oops - accidentially erased my last post here. Heh. Now, what was it? Oh, yes. I still think that Captain Tygon of the Wild Star might have autism. I'm not sure, however, because Tygon refuses to tell me if I'm right or not, but it would explain the time lapses and the sleeping problems... |

Eee-yah. I suspect he'd be better off chasing his own tail first, or running for his life. |

This is a call out to all the more artistic inclined ones out there. I need some help.
With Feline Destiny being a sci-fi story I have quite some space ships in there. Unfortunately I'm not that good at describing them and so I'm not asking for some help.
I already had a very successful work with Maxx on the desing of the Wild Star and need more people who are able to come up with an interesting design for various spaceships and if possible, will also be able to draw a pic of the ship according to that design.
As said, I have several spaceships in FD that need to be designed so there is work for several artists
Oh, one important thing. Since I'm at the moment unemployed I'll not be able to pay much for the work. I'm not asking anybody to work for free for me but I won't be able to pay high amounts of money.
So anybody interested mail, PM or IM me and we will see what is possible.
BTW: Even if you're a non-artist but have an interesting idea for a spaceship design, tell me about it. Chances are good that I'll have some use for it.
Thanks in advance. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Okay, a few news about Feline Destiny.
First: I'm working on a new, more detailed, better formatted and updated Cast page
Second: I've added time and date indexes to every chapter like they are in Gone Wylde and re-uploaded them all. It doesn't really affect the story but it will help me in the future.
Third: Chapter 5 has been posted. I hope you guys like it _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

As if there was ever any doubt.
I liked it, very much liked it.
Gee, Tygon sure seems anxious to get out of that system. It'll be interesting to find out why.

He does, doesn't he? You will find out why... not soon, but in time.
If anybody has any speculations as to why Tygon does want to get out of the system so desperately, I would love to hear them _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

You're welcome. It was a great character that fits the position well.

Nice to see some progress on the story.
Yes, Tygon seems to be really anxious to get away from Helm. Must have been really desparate to accept a job that brings him there.
Ad Technology:
Using shuttles INDOOR to manouver the hundred ton door pieces into position.
I don't know the technology there, but if I designed a ship I would do just about ANYTHING to avoid having such big suckers floating around. I don't want to see what happens if a shuttle looses power once it has such a door in motion. Well, maybe from a safe distance. _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

Yeah... at least on one of my stories.

Yes, he was. See the hints to the financial and technical problems of the Wild Star.
And he thought it would go 'in, deliver the stuff, get something new and out'.
As the title say, no plan survives contact with the enemy.

Hmmm... maybe I wasn't clear there. The shuttles are actually pushing the doors close from the OUTSIDE. Also, the doors aren't floating free. They are attached to the ship but they can't move on their own. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Ok, that's a little more believable. But they still have to push the doors from INSIDE the station. Or does the ship evacuate the hull and disengage from the station before the doors are closed? _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

Oh sorry you again got me wrong there. The cargo doors open to open space. The Wild Star is too big for docking points that connect the cargo section directly to the station. The cargo is hauled into open space and then into the Helm I's own cargo bays or drectly to another ship. In this case it was brought to one of Sheppard Space Yards' own short range freighters.
And neither is the ship INSIDE the station. If you thought that you've let yourself be inspired by the silly Starfleet space station designs from Star Trek. Building a station with a 'hanger' ships of large size can fly into would be far to expensive and the use doesn't outweight the costs.
No, no, the Wild Star is docked to the outside of Helm I like every other ship. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species
