Can I ask a realy stupid question here;
Where's part 1?
As for the rest, I'm expecting no better than Part 2. _________________ SHARKS In The Gene Pool South of Kosovo!

Part 3 is up on The Foxx Den's website.
I was partway through it, and getting all teared up again, just as my son came home from work. Very rough trying to hold an intelligent conversation at that moment. And he was upset because he had to help put down a puppy at the vet he works at...poor little thing had parvo.
(Minor nit pick, Chris. At the end of the chapter, it says "End of Chapter 2", when it should say "End of Chapter 3") _________________ Hortmage, the Magic Gardener

Part 3 of Final Farewell was as trying a voice recording for me, as other works. It was hard, but I managed, and kept myself under control (after getting it out of my system first). Dave did a beutifull job with it, and I thank him for the role this story has had in my own life, and my own dealing with undealtwith things. Dave, if you can hear me.... thank you again. And furs, remember, Dave live's on through his stories, this one included. Also... brace yourselves for part 4. Its much longer, and... it took me much longer to record, because I couldent speak the first time I tried. Enjoy, and feel free to use my recording if you cant find the time to read it, or have to listen on the road or such. Again... thank you Dave, wherever you are, and to the editors a heartfelt thank you as well. Especially to Mike. You have done a good job bringing this story to us.

Not sure where this one came from, and I know we haven't seen her yet in this story, but even the ones not prone to an outward show of emotions will grieve too. Despite what it's gonna cause, I'm Looking forward to part 4.

gentlefurs, you all have done a super awesome job on this. I had tears in my eyes the whole time I read pt3. TV Dave has left us such a poingant legacy with this . . . words fail.

Well, since TV Dave was the copyright holder of the story, I don't know that you'd need permission of any kind unless you intended to sell it.
To me, it would be a wonderful tribute.

Good God, I hate when I do that.
Well, folks, this morning I posted Chapter 4, the conclusion.
This was a very hard series to get through, this is without doubt the worst.
Especially the ending.
Especially, knowing Dave, how he marked "the end".
I never got the chance to tell him just how much I enjoyed this. I did this in my Journal on my home page, but it's just not the same.

<Cirrel looks at the blank posting box and wonders what to type about the last installment of Final Farewell. He blinks away a tear.>
"This is gonna be a tough one."
Meanwhile....
TV Dave: Well. It's finally up and posted.
Angel: After all the 'gentle' prodding you've done to these furs, you had doubts?
TV Dave: Nah. It's just nice to see it there, but do you think the ending was a bit too revealing?
Angel: Well... that was pushing it, but I think we can let it pass. After all, these furs think it's just a story, right?
TV Dave: Riiiiiight.
Angel: Anything else before we move on on to our next assignment?
TV Dave: Yep. One more thing.... BE GOOD ALL!!!!
Angel: Hey! Not so loud!
<Cirrel looks up from the post he's typing..>
"Hello? Hmmm. Must have been the wind."
<Goes back to typing, but feels a little better than he did before.>
Cirrel - who is wondering what possessed him to type this... _________________

I'll agree with Chris, a very hard series. Even when I was helping with the editting, it was impossible to remain unmoved. I can't think of a greater tribute to TVDave than that. _________________ "But the wildest of all the wild animals was the Cateagle. He walked by himself and all places were alike to him."

Excellent, Well Done, Well Put.
Only a stone would not feel a thing.
No better tribute could be created unless it was carved onto living rock and embossed in gold.

I've been kept away from the stories for too long. Real Life has been a b*tch all year, and I've allowed it to keep me away. Partially my fault, I admit. And the loss has been all mine.
I am terribly, terribly behind on so many of the works that have lent me their life. It is a shame and a crime, and I had made up my mind at last to rectify the situation.
But OH MY LORD, did I pick a doozy to start with.
And it's all your fault, Mike! You provided the link on the Bookshelf News and I, like a fool, clicked it.
Wow. In a word. Wow.
I read the whole thing this evening. I'd like to say I got through it in one sitting, but that would credit me with more self-control than I possess. No, there were a few pauses involved. More than a few. Tis ragged I am, me buckos, ragged and sore.
Dave's final gift is a most poignant one, and I wish sincerely that I could thank him for it.
Just ......
