As an aside - I had come across this picture of the girl who plays Hermione in the movies. She was 13 in this photo, and while I can't draw worth beans anymore, I can visualize in my head. I aged her three years, based off what she looked like in the first two movies.
I think you can understand why a sixteen year old Harry is walking into trees because of this girl in three years... (now I hope the attachment thing works...) _________________ That which does not kill me probably hurt like a sonuvabitch. |

And a most interesting and well-written chapter it is. *BEG* I especially thought the ending was nicely done indeed. _________________ "But the wildest of all the wild animals was the Cateagle. He walked by himself and all places were alike to him."

Kinsfire,
I just stumbled across your Harry Potter/LOTR fanfic.
Wow!! That is truly excellent!
Have you seen any of the stories put out by La Société des Femmes Dangereuses? This is a website dedicated to Harry Potter fanfics. I'll be honest and tell you the only one I really have read through is Anna's. It's very good, but it's definitely NOT rated G. Somewhere between PG and R. Thou hast been warned.
I can't wait to see your future chapters! _________________ Hortmage, the Magic Gardener

<Snort!> I know he has - several of us regularly pass around pointers to various good stories there and on Schnoogle. Plus various others as we find them.
Let's see... in addition to those, try searching on Fanfiction.net, Diagon Alley, Sugar Quill, Gryffindor Tower... Google is a good way to find all these places. Schnoogle is by far the most extensive, though, at least as far as strictly HP stories are concerned. _________________ Galadrion - Member of the Longbottom 3. |

Don't remember seeing Anna's stuff before. Took a look at it, and I don't think her stuff will appeal to me to much - the girl really needs to get a job writing for soap operas. (I can handle angst is doses. But a 71 chapter dose is a bit much. And Harry and Trelawney? Sorry, no matter how well written, I can't buy it. Actually, the problem I seemed to have with it was that she seemed to have picked a different teacher to choose a different student to sleep with. (If I ever met that Snape, he'd never survive the experience - and I'm a Muggle. Bare hands, nothing else.) I assume Ron ended up with MacGonagall or something?
The annoying thing is how well written they are. That may not make much sense, or it may make perfect sense to you. _________________ That which does not kill me probably hurt like a sonuvabitch. |

Not to break rhythm on these things, but I thought people might be interested to know that Chapter 11 is available. _________________ That which does not kill me probably hurt like a sonuvabitch. |

Another excellent chapter. I see you spotted the same small "oopsey" I did on first reading last night. _________________ "But the wildest of all the wild animals was the Cateagle. He walked by himself and all places were alike to him."

I cannot tell a lie - Mike caught it, and a few others. At least now I don't have a certain Dwarf talking to himself... _________________ That which does not kill me probably hurt like a sonuvabitch. |

Ah'm woikin' on it!
Looks like I'm down to a every other day schedule...laotsa stuff to pack into these suckers, and I'm referring to the LOTR book to make sure I get certain important scenes right. So it's write-write-write, check book, rephrase a chunk, write-write-write...repeat as necessary. Slows me down a bit. _________________ That which does not kill me probably hurt like a sonuvabitch. |
