Chew, chew, gnaw,gnaw... how you manage to do upersonic speeds in such atrocious conditions I never know @.@
Im real glad you managed to make your journey without mishap
RodTerl
Lets see.. Motorway closed for 10 hours, with police refucing people to turn round and drive off it, even with a slip road a hundred yards behind, Tailbacks up to 20 miles in length, most of ditance between two cities here in UK. 4*4 doing 4 wheel slide in 2 inch snow at walking pace..
From annals of research.. damp conditions reduce friction by 30%, wet conditions by 50-90%, and Icy conditions by 96% plus.. Is a looong way to slide

Not quite.
I spent the day re-reading Act IV to refresh myself as to exactly what I've got going on in the plot. The biggest problem with Act IV being "un-scripted" is the fact that I loose track of loose ends. I'm going to spend some time scripting out things I want to happen so that I've got a firmer timeline other than "this happens later."
In the mean time, I'll see if I can come up with something to amuse y'all.... _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com

Got some work done on the next chapter this weekend. Only three pages worth, but its a start. Unfortunately, I'm not all that happy with part of it so I'm going to probably re-write it.
Anyway... At least I'm writing again. Hopefully I'll have something finished this week.
Cheers. _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com

Got most of the next chapter finished. I just have one more sement to write and then I'll shoot it off to the editor.
Hopefully I'll have it posted by Wed.
Other news, I found a rebuilt engine for the car that will cost $500 plus another $150 to install if me an my brother help with the work. That's a lot better than the $1000-$3000 I was looking at everywhere else, though it will tap me into the negatives.
If anyone has any spare change, the donate button still works on my web page.

Brother is in town today. Tomorrow we get the car down to the shop so we can work on replacing the engine on Monday.
No chapter this weekend, however there should be one next weekend.
Sorry for the delay.... but things should start moving forward soon.

OK. So yesterday we finally performed the engine-ectomy on my car.
Talk about a screwed up day.
Brother drove by to pick me up around 9AM. I checked a local TV station to see what the weather would be like. It said it was 29 degrees outside, something neither of us could believe. I figured it was probably in the 40's and I should take my jacket just to be sure.
On the drive down there, I noticed the temp display on my brothers dash said 29 degrees outside. Yeah, it really was going to be a cold day. Add a light 5-10 mph breeze, and it would be an interesting day.
That was before the wind picked up to 15-25 mph. Talk about freezing my fat ass off. We were working outside on the car. OEY.
Anyway... part 1 is done. Guy's gotta get the replacement engine out of storage and check it over to make sure nothing's wrong since it's been in there a while. Thursday (most likely) we'll be putting the new engine in there.
Till then, I'm going to try and relax and let my knees/back mellow out from being on my feet all day. _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com

Guess it’s time for an update…
Been working on getting the car running most of the week. Spent three days down in Garnett, getting the new engine ready and installed….a pain in the ass task considering this was done in the guys yard with no power tools to speak of.
Fired the car up on Thursday only to discover that the engine was missing badly. Turns out that cylinder #4 was dead and had no compression. The engine had apparently come from a wrecked truck and it hadn’t been started prior to being sold to me. End result is the car STILL isn’t drivable and probably won’t until the end of this coming week. The guy who sold it to me is trying to find a replacement while my brother is going to see about having the old engine rebuilt.
It’s been almost two months since I had a working vehicle, and it’s really killing me. I’ve got virtually no way to earn any money other than my base contracts with the ISP’s which covers about half of my living expenses. My savings is completely depleted and the roomie is sans job ATM with very little chance of getting one in time for rent next month.
Frankly, things are pretty f*&#ed right now and I’m not in any mood to write.
Sorry… but that’s life. _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com

I've gotten some work on the next chapter done, but not enough to publish.
Saturday I'll be down south, working on the car. We've had the old engine honed and everything's ready to go. So, I get to spend the day helping to assemble the engine, then we'll see about pulling the juned replacement out and putting this one in.
Hopefully, everything will go w/o a hitch and I'll be able to drive home. _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com
