For the last few weeks, I've manage to sit down on Saturday and crank out a chapter. Unfortunately today hasn't gone well. I've gotten a decent bite out of the chapter, but my leg's bothering me and I'm going to call it early. Will try to finish it up tomorrow.
Look for the update later in the week.

I've had issues with both knees as well as a form of reocurrant celulitus. There are days when it just flat throbs. On days like that, I wind up hanging out in bed and propping the leg up. That usually solves the issue after a bit.
I'm about 50% of the way through the next chapter. Should be up Sunday.

Things are slowly moving along here. I'm going to be working on a short story that I've titled "Swan Song". Hopefully it won't delay the next chapter of IC, but if it does, I'll let you know.
If it does, though, I promise that those who read it will understand why.
Other than that, not a lot new for me. John Robey over at The Suburban Jungle went and put up a "Thanks Hikaru!" comission auction with the proceeds going to me as a way of thanking me for coloring his strip. If you're bored and have a lot of extra money, feel free to go bid.
That's about it right now. _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com

Bad news: I was working all day (and night) today and just got home. Since I do my writing for the next chapter mostly in the afternoon/evening on Saturdays, that means that the chapter's going to be delayed.
I don't know if I'll be able to get it done tomorrow as we're supposed to re-wire a phone system, install a bunch of new 66 blocks as well as a new patch pannel.
The good news is that we probably won't be doing anything until late in the afternoon or evening. I'm going to ditch my D&D game since I'd probably have to leave early anyway and spend the time writing instead. If everything goes well, there'll be a new chapter late tomorrow evening, otherwise look for it sometime during the week.
Sorry for the delay. _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com

I managed to get the chapter finished at 9PM Central time. Fortunately my Editor was planning on being up late anyway, so he did me a favor and did an edit for me.
Hope you enjoy it.

First, for anyone who's been looking for me on IM, I apologize, but I've been working. No, not a full time job, but doing some VAX programming. It sucks since I haven't programmed in BASIC in like twenty years and NEVER before on a VAX, so I'm sure learning a lot. Unfortunately, I'm only getting paid 8 hours to do the coding and I've spent close to twenty working on it. Of course, the good news is that when he gives me more projects, I'll be able to complete them faster. Still, my brain is fried. Hell, I haven't even watched Wed's Enterprise. OEY!
In other news, the_gneedh PayPall'ed me the cash from his Thanks Hikaru auction. However, he did something quite unexpected (again). The original auction price was $90 (thank you spikedpunch!), however John went and tossed in the money from his tip-jar for the week as well bringing the total up to $200. VERY SWEET! Big, uber, polar-bear-hugging thank you's go to John for that. It's going to be WAY needed.... read the next paragraph.
I need to replace my cell phone. No, the old one isn't broken, but the chargers are. I no longer have any AC chargers that work and just one DC/car adapter that works. I've gone to the Sprint store and tried to buy the chargers there. They sent me to the warehouse who said they had them in stock. They then shipped me the WRONG part. I went back to the Sprint store (since I didn't want to spend the postage shipping it back), and had them order me a replacement. The warehouse sent the WRONG PART again. Three times now. The warehouse guy has finally admitted that they don't have the right part and don't know when if ever they will.
So, what's my choice? Get a new cell phone. The top of the line flip-phone with photo stuff runs about $400 with tax and a car charger (my lifes blood). That means I have to raise about $200 more to get the phone. Since I doubt that'll happen, I'm aiming a bit lower, but still would be nice to get a decent phone instead of having to settle for the bottom-rung phone again. (Note: I just re-signed my contract, so I'm not eligible for the $150 rebate for new-sign ups. Sucks to be me, eh?)
Anyway, if you have some extra cash you can live without, and are wanting to help me get a new cell phone for my birthday (which is next month, BTW), then hop over to my web page and click the handy dandy PayPal donate button.
That's about it for now... I'm tired and my brain's about to explode from BASIC overload.... I think I'm going to watch a few anime and go to bed.
Cheers!

You ever wake up from a sound sleep at 2:30am with something perfect for your story clear in your head? Have you ever thought you could remember it when you wake up and so you don't bother to write it down? Ever wake up in the morning wanting to kick yourself cause all you can remember of your epiphany is that you had one? _________________ "Political Correctness is tyranny with manners." Yes and no. When I first started writing, it was kind of a compulsive/obcessive thing. The beginning of the story came to me in a dream... When I woke up, I could remember it perfectly, but didn't write it down. Later, I laid down for a nap and had the exact, same dream! After that happened three or four times, I finally sat down and started putting it down on paper. Next time I slept, more of the story came, and I'd write it down...
The dreams have long since faded, but I do remember them well.

Wow. Could the Fates be telling you something?
I've had epics and other perfectly good story ideas play in my dreams before (like the history of a magic isle), but I've never had reoccurring dreams before. Good thing your muse didn't give up on you so easily! _________________ Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers.
