I FEEL FOR YOU CHRIS. I REALLY DO.
BUT JUST REMEBER, WHEN LIFE GETS YOU DOWN....

"ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE!
DO-DO,DO-DO,DO-DO,DO-DO,!
ALWAYS LOOK ON THE LIGHT SIDE OF LIFE!
DO-DO,DO-DO,DO-DO,DO-DO,!
LIFES A PEICE OF SHIT
WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT.

that's terrible--we had septic tank problems at my old house too--we had a willow tree grow its roots down into the damn thing, and all the chemicals made it grow three times its normal size (it was almost 4 stories tall). This also broke up the septic tank however, and there was a great deal of seepage in the backyard--something less than pleasant I can tell you.

Anyhoo, we ended up moving the septic tank from the back yard to the front, and so now this tree didn't have all the sustenance it was used to. Add that to the fact that it was unnaturally overgrown, the tree began to slowly die, year by year, branch by branch. We didn't really mind that until the branch with the tire-swing broke off when my sister was riding on it. She was okay, but we were still worried.

It wasn't till we came back from a family vacation, and found a 9 meter long branch, thicker than most normal trees, ripped completely off from the side and sitting in our back yard. A wind storm had finally blown it down.

A year or two later, my parents were awoken by a loud CRACK, and looking out the window saw that an even bigger piece had fallen and landed just a yard short of their bedroom window.

What's even funnier is that when we moved into the new house, a tree actually DID land on our house during a storm--it landed on MY room, while I was away for the weekend visiting my girlfriend.

Bad house luck?

Chris, I'm very sorry to hear about all the financial woes. Sems when you're down, these days everyone just wants to take what little you do have. Nuts to all of them. You'll be in my prayers until this is all over.
