*Waves her paw* I LOVE fishing! But I haven't had a chance to in a long time...stupid school! I don't fish for anything in particular usually. Just stick a worm on the hook and see what's out there. Though I use to go catfishing, which is fun. Sigh...

Well this entry was actually supposed to have been posted last Friday but I have been busy the last few days. I took Sarra (my akita) in to be spayed I dropped her off at 11:30 am and picked her up at 5:30pm. The Vet wanted to keep her overnight but I work on the weekends and had no way of picking her up till this coming Thurs. The poor girl was just coming around and was barely able to walk she looked like she went on a bender I really felt bad taking her out of the doctors care so early but I had no choice I just couldn’t afford to keep her at the vet for so long and they close like at 1pm on Sat & Sun. So now Sarra’s home and I’m at work fortunately she seems to be doing fine now I just wish I could take the time off work to look after her.

Well today kind of marks a minor milestone, around the middle of March last year I quit smoking. No patch, no gum, no aids what so ever just cold turkey baby. This coming about six months after another minor milestone October last year marked the 1 year anniversary of my having quit drinking, that was also done cold turkey no meds or support groups. Yes it's been hard extremely hard when I'm with friends who still drink and smoke. I'm proud of the fact that I haven't become one of those prickish born again non smokers and non drinkers who disassociate themselves and condemn their old friends for still doing the things they used to do. I've stopped drinking and smoking who knows maybe someday I'll get a bug up my butt and get into shape Shocked

, hmmm hey Kay if I got into shape would you be interested in dating an older fur even if the fur were starting to grey?

You may ask where did the inspiration to do this came from, well the answer is here PF. Well not the board itself really but some of the furs on it. When I found PF I was pretty miserable with my life I was an alcoholic still am I guess as the saying goes drinking just for the sake of drinking cause I didn't know what else to do and thinking so what if it killed me, my life's in the crapper and nothings going to change. Then I saw some of the things that some of the furs here were dealing with Skunky and Beau Wolff to name two the things that they have had to deal with just in the time I have been here is incredible I don't know if I'd have the strength of will to do it but no matter what happened to them they have always been determined to go on to not let what ever it was beat them. It was then that I realized that the shortcomings in my life were trivial and given the example I was shown here I had no right to complain about them and that if I wanted a better life I would have to make it no one was just going to pop up one day and say "Here, let me make it all better" so I started to identify the things I didn't like about my life and set about changing them. I'm more open about my feelings now (granted it's mostly here on PF that I am I'm still pretty introverted in person but I'm working on it) and I have quite using the substances that had control of me. I still have a lot of work to do maybe one day I can find some one to share my life with, but for now I want to just say thank you to all the furs here on PF who have shown me that no matter how bad life seems you can change it for the better with determination.

I'm sitting here at work listening to some mental midget complain endlessly about his petty computer problems that he never would have had in the first place if he had just bothered to learn how to use the thing and I realize a simple fact: The last day of work before vacation SUCKS!!! YUSS I DID IT, I DID IT! The project I started in May of last year is done...well the hardest part of it anyway I just finished the first draft of my Clarence & Cindy story!

*spins around punches the air and does the happy dance*

Right now its 82 pages long at size 12 font single space I'm going to give it a few days rest then go back to clean it up and flesh it out a bit then send it to the editors ME SOOO HAAAPYYYY! Mr. Green
