Alright. Since I play ten different instruments I thought here would be a good place to ask if anyone else plays anything. Here's my list
Guitar
Alto Saxophone
Trombone
Native American Flute (made it myself even ^_^)
Piano
Soprano Recorder
Alto Recorder
Tenor Recorder
Bass Recorder
Flute (still learning)

That's all that I play so far, though I'm looking into violin, trumpet, and the other three saxophones.
Anyway, hope to hear some answers to this.

Just the piano here, and that not for some time.

EDIT: Let me clarify that. I took piano lessons from 4th grade through hgih school graduation and was pretty good (in a piano student recording competition my senior year, I entered the particular event that had Mozart's Viennese Sonantina and one of Bach's 2-Part Inventions - I came in 2nd nationally). Unfortunately, in the 34 years since then, opportunites to practice and play have become fewer and fewer.

I play keyboards and drums. Since this is a music section, how about a link to the latest song I've been working on? It's not finished yet but feel free to comment if it strikes you.

Ambient by Xaqtly (2.1 MB) I highly recommend a good set of speakers with a subwoofer, or a good pair of headphones.

I could play flute once but I haven't touched one in about 10 years so I doubt I'd even know which end to put to my mouth.

I recently build myself a digerido but unfortunately I cannot play it due to a scar on my lower lip. It prevents me from making the lip movements I need to play the digerido Sad

well I took piano lessons almost 10 years ago if I remember. Teacher said that I was good and had talent, only thing was that I lacked the will power at the time.

Anyways, i'm becoming interested again in it because Apple has just released "GarageBand" a music making program which from the 16th of January will be on all new Macs (please, pretty please mom! Get me a PowerMac G5!!)...

well with some accesories I can use the Mac as a software amp for an electric guitar. So as of now i'm VERY undecided if I should start Piano again (i do remember the basics and stuff) or should I learn Guitar?

Nice synth tune Xaqtly, kinda reminds me of my Yamaha1000XG before it went up in smoke Mad

Well I create short chip tunes using Octamed, Fast Tracker and Impulse Tracker. I've created some crazy tunes on Scream Tracker.

I'm fairly rusty on an electric guitar, but jam on a keyboard

I played tenor sax in high school. Haven't touched it in years though. Wonder where that thing went... '-)

Yeah, Zak! Sounds great.

Oh, and what I forgot to say... Akkai... that list of instruments you can play... that's almost scary Shocked

I would love to learn playing piano... but I can neither afford getting one nor getting someone to teach me Sad

I played the steel drums once when I was a freshman but since the whole band exept two where expelled for indecent exposure and one for knocking a guy out it kinda fell apart and I did not rejoin the next year.

I'm a trombone player, used to be a trumpet player. I do a little composing, too.

Nice tune Xaqtly! Sort of synth-jazz. Techno with a melody. I like it. Smile

I've fiddled with keyboards but have never found one with keys that fit my large fingers - always hitting double keys.

Which brings up an interesting question. Since instruments are *very* ergonomic (designed for the hands that play them) What would - say- a guitar look like that was designed for a fur? How would they keep the fur on their arms from getting caught in the vibrating strings? How would claws affect the picking and fingering styles?

Oh, I also play the left-handed sneeze pipes. But since the one set that was ever made is now completely clogged... oh well.

Cirrel - who's content to just listen now.

That is a nice piece, Xaqtly! Smooth and mellow...

Cirrel, a very interesting topic for discussion! I suppose an artist could shave their forearms...or train themselves to hold their hands slightly different so that their fur wouldn't get in the way. With claws as picks, I don't think that would work for long, or at least they would need tougher strings. Their claws would cause wear and tear on the strings and wear them out more quickly.
