Thanks!
This is the best bithday ever!!!
Let me tell everyone why.
First of all, My wife is getting better from a horrible back injury, and I am VERY thankful that she is alive, and indeed loves me!
Second, I have the best friends ever from this place! Maxx, Ty, Clint, SK, Cateagle, Rava, Josh, Hikaru, Skunky, Whiplash, Kinsfire, Mike, CW, Kayngi, EF, Pat, oh who am I kidding, lets just take the whole group!
Third, I have been working for Hewlett Packard on some large scale projects, for which they just recognized me. I am thankful for the opportunity to do my best for them!
Fourth, I just received an offer letter from another company at a SIGNIFICANT increase in Salary! I will be back to what I was making PRIOR to losing my job in the great 2001 technical layoffs. This means that I will be able to pay all my bills ontime, and actually have a savings account again!!!
Fifth, and my no means least important, I AM STILL RIDING MOTORCYCLES!
Sixth, I love you all!
Seventh, MAXX! Our friendship and partnership in LIFE@ continues strongly, you are indeed my brother, and I love ya man.
Eighth, with the new job comes travel, with travel comes blank empty periods. THAT MEANS TIME TO WRITE!!! WOO HOO!
Ninth, My eldest son and I had a wonderful sharing experience in the last two weeks. He turned eighteen. He bought a car, and needed help making repairs. Normally he is a very self sufficient person, but this was something he wanted my help with. He also asked for a special birthday gift. He wanted to learn how to smoke cigars the proper way. Those that don't know me very well may not understand why this is special to me. I have an expensive hobby. I enjoy smoking a good cigar now and then, and sip a GREAT scotch. This is not something I do very often, and Ryan has a desire to learn about some good things in life, and avoid some of the teenage pitfalls. Last night, we spent an hour lounging in the backyard as I taught him about cigars. Good discussions, quiet sharing of a very personal hobby, and he received a guillotine, a butane lighter, and an $8.00 cigar, called a "short story." I decided to not start him on the "el cheapo" brands. He liked it, and smoked half of his before having to leave for a friends house. This is the best Birthday present he could ever give me. An opportunity to share an adult pleasure, in an open and quiet session. For those of you wondering, Maggie - my dear wife, approved of the idea! Have I told you guys just how lucky I am to have a woman like Maggie?
Again, thank you VERY much for the birthday wishes! _________________ "Do not Taunt Happy Fun God" -Cthulhu |

Happy B-Day Fish!
My brother works projects for HP, too. He's really a Flextronics employee, but HP 'borrowed' him for a while. He sez they have a typical big company mentality, but will listen to ideas. He got along with then real well.
Glad yer still riding scoots. I live in a weather-prohibitive area for bikes. 9 months of winter and three monthe of bad skiing.
AND HE WILL WRITE AGAIN!
Looking forward to it.
Have a great year!

And a "Happy Birthday" to both FIsh and Mapper. Though I suppose I could get away with "Happy Birthday, young'uns." _________________ "But the wildest of all the wild animals was the Cateagle. He walked by himself and all places were alike to him."
