Well, im gonna write a small report on the CoD multiplayer experience, i hope you guys like it.
Infinity Ward (Guard... whatever) did something, i still cant put my finger on it, i haven't looked into it really, but, the netcode they used/refined for multiplayer CoD is just awesome...
On the Medal of Honor Days... well, most games, playing multiplayer over the internet was a pain in the neck, but, Call of Duty is just different, i a very good way.
I still believe that the data packets that transmit from each client of CoD multiplayer has gotten extremelly small, hence the really low (yay for me!!!) ping/response times.
For the first time ever, i can trully enjoy a 32 player team deathmatch over the internet with a decent ping time!
usually, 16 player matches get me a ping no less than 140-160 milliseconds, and that is just great. I honestly can't wait for the weekend to come again and play a couple of hours.
The maps are just as exiting, if you saw Band of Brothers, you may remember Carentan (By GOD this map rocks), well it delivers, if well played (in a team sort of way...) a very exciting competition, the urban and open setting, the well placed machine guns, and the complexity of the of the building layout is just awesome... i honestly wish we get the chance to play it sometime, trust me, it is sooooooo worth it.
Cheers! _________________ [Citation Needed] |

Oooh! I love CoD! I like that Hurtschgen or whatever it's called. The open snowy level with the bunkers. I make a brilliant german sniper in that level, and I make a good sniper in any open level. I can move without being detected after killing an enemy, so my opponents almost never find me. I once took down a ten-man patrol in Hurtschgen like this (read at own boredom risk): I crouched in the trenches, watching them pass about twenty metres away, then neckshot two. Then I ran in a strafing pattern to the edge of a nearby bunker- three more down. They then realised that something was killing them, so they stopped on the bridge and brought their snipers to the fore. I nailed one before they sighted my muzzle flash from a tree some 50 metres away and gave chase. The hunt was on. I ran low through a series of rocks with their 3 machine gunners on my tail, and ran out into an open area. After about 2 seconds of running I heard an explosion and turned around, and lo and behold: three dead americans in a minefield. Somehow I didn't trigger any mines and made it through. All that was left was the final sniper. I found him on a rock scanning the far side of the level. Make a long story short- stielhandgrenate.
KA-BOOM!
But then we (3 other germans) lost the game to the twelve americans 27-30. Go figure. |

well I now also got the expansion pack: united offensive. that's one hell of a pack, let me tell you.
the first level alone offers more action than we've gotten used to in CoD. that's one hell of a level... and the other levels too.
great pack, i recommend - if you like the original, this stuff is for you. if you don't like the original, try this anyway. _________________
