Not meaning to sound as if I'm stirring anything up, but there ought to be one rule added in there, IMNSHO. It's one I put in the Fur-Haven FAQ:
No one is exempt from the rules. If an admin or a moderator gets caught breaking the rules, they need to be punished just the way anyone else would be.
As I phrased it in the FH Faq - If I (the owner of that server) proceed to break all the rules I set down, I fully expect the other admins to ban my butt, permanently.
If nothing else, it lets anyone joining know exactly what I said above:
No one is exempt from the rules. _________________ That which does not kill me probably hurt like a sonuvabitch. |

It's more of a "Let's think of it now, rather than figure it out later" - in the unlikely event that such a rule is needed.
After all, some people can come across as extremely trustworthy, and once they have some power, prove to be otherwise. So if you plan for it in advance...
By the way - I know tempers have been running high recently, so I am stating here and now that I am not attempting to make a reference to ANYONE with that previous paragraph. It was merely one of those thoughts that came to mind while I was setting up Fur-Haven, and thought it might do well to mention it here. _________________ That which does not kill me probably hurt like a sonuvabitch. |

The Site rules get a bit intimidating if they take up more than your average screen space. And, like Kinsfire said, if an untrustworthy person is given power, the rules stated would allow a corrupt mod to thusly abuse that power.
I'd say you'd then have to get soem sort of contingency plan in case you have to deal with an untrustworthy admin / mod, but then it starts getting too much into actual politics, and guh... PF does NOT need to become another California. _________________ "The history of humanity is like an Endless Waltz, it constantly dances to the three beats of war, peace, and revolution." |

Being a Mod is a previlage and I believe I am just and fair. But at times Mods can be bad too, so honestly it depends what the Admins think. I always show the Admins what I am about to delete so they know. But I believe the new rules are just and fair. As along as we all follow them we can have a good time here at PF. _________________ http://www.mysticchronicles.com

My, my, what a Gloomy Gus!
Surely you can figure out some way to be good while having intelligent fun! I mean, really, you strike me as the creative type. Consider it a challenge.

They'd run screaming into the ocean until the briny crests drowned their cries.
Geez, what'd you expect?

Yes, comrade, I can see you being a mod, and with your penchant for strong drink, I'd say you'd last 4.3 minutes.

I am sevearly unshure as to if I should apply for a place on the moderation staff. Some of my past actions have been less the cosure and I try to correct my actions before they get out of hand.
I don't even know if I would be needed. _________________
