Yeah, I messed up.
Dont ask how, just accept it.
I messed my finances all sorts of ways to sunday.
So, here's what I am doing.
Y'all know that I ride a motorcycle - EVERY DANG DAY! Rain, snow, sun, wind, typhoon, etc.
This here's my girl: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2427046381
Yep - ebay. sigh
I'm selling it through the BMW shop I work for on the weekends.
It hurts folks. It hurts.
But, like any lesson, there has to be that twinge of pain to keep you from being that stupid again.
Fish will ride again, someday...

*pets fish* It's okay, we all screw up with cash one time or another, hopefully it all strightens itself out for you though and you can get your bike back. _________________ Pat The Fox

Heck, we've talked enough you know the situation I've fallen into. Getting out is feasible, but not easy and I can really sympathize with you.

Ah feel yore pain, Brother.
I'm still crawling ever so slowly out from under a mound of debt that I piled up myself by borrowing to invest in the wrong things at the wrong time. Having a deeply negative net worth and a sorry credit rating for six or seven years is no fun.
BTW, do you know anyone who'd like to buy a never-used 2-D height gage? I'll let it go at 1/3 its value just to get the sucker out of my house. _________________ Oddly enough, my life is based on a true story. (Ashleigh Brilliant) |

WOW!
The bike seems to be moving QUITE nicely on ebay.
Here's the plan folks.
I grabbed EVERY SINGLE bill I have. checked everything 3 times.
Oddly enough, I'm gonna be ok with the sale of the bike, if it went for the EXACT amount currently bid (5k). MY teenager is gonna hate me cause he will no longer have Carte Blanche with the family car, but, Hey, I'm the parent, I get to use MY car with no lip from the person 1/2 my age.
NYAH
I will however remain Bikeless for at least the next six months to a year. That is punishment enough. _________________ "Do not Taunt Happy Fun God" -Cthulhu |

Thanks Hikaru! I truly appreciate it.
but no worries. This is something that I HAVE to do.
Heck, I even <GASP> went to my Dad for advice last night.
Everything that I was thinking was right on target. In 3 months, I might even have some savings...<DOUBLE GASP>
And be back on track with my 401k and stock purchases <TRIPLE GASP with a twist>
wouldnt that be nice
Hey Hikaru, if I could find an XS...

Heh... Here's where you can get "Better than factory new" refurbished XS-1100's. The guy rocks and has some killer bikes. I think you'll like them. SWEET rides.
Should ever you come up to KC, I'll talk to the owner and see if I can arrange for you to test ride his personal mount. Over 250K miles on it and still turning tricks.
