Unfortunately, I can't get a ride from anyone here in KC to the con. I've had an offer from St Louis to help with the ride, but that's still 200+ miles one way. Driving a 69 land-yaght that gets 16-18MPG (and drinks premium), well.... you can do the math.
I've avoided putting a plea out for help, but at this point I'm getting rather desperate for any help I can get. If you can spare anything to help me get to the con, I'd really appreciate it. There's a pay-pal donate tag on my IC Stories web page that you can use to help out.
Y'all have been great fans and friends. I appreciate any help you can give.

Whelp, it looks like I'll be able to get to St. Louis now. Thanks to Xaq who really came through for me, I'll be able to get that far.
Tyger Cowboy, the guy who runs MFM is going to try and arrange a ride for me from STL down to Memphis and back so I should be set.
Thanks again, Xaq AND Fish, without whose help, I'd not be able to make it to MFM.

If tyger cowboy cant find anyone, a teensy alteration in my route will take me right through St. Louis (an extra 50 miles - which is nothing seeing as my trip is a 1000 miles to begin with.)

Can do. Not sure where I'd leave my car in such a case. Might talk to Spiked Punch and see if it could be left at his place since he's not doing MFM.
