Is there any possibility to move a post from one topic to another one?
Split a topic, with the new messages going into an existing topic, not a new one?
Or join two topics together? _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

There are several posts in the "Rant Central..." topic that should actually be in the "Sara's Story" topic, since they are about the story.
Actually all posts since the 19th, except for my "Hmmm, I wonder... Am I going mad, crazy or just plain insane..." post.
I was just wondering, (as a moderator) I can delete posts, move a topic to a different forum, move posts into a new topic, ...
but I can't move a post into an existing topic. _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

Well, I can do that, Mike. (Move a topic into another forum)
But there is no icon / button / whatever to move a post between topics. _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

No problem.
It is not really important, but I was wondering why such an obvious (to me) moderation tool is not availiable. _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

There is a feature to move posts to a new topic. If you have moderation rights, scroll down to the bottom-right side of the page of the topic list and click on the link related to moderating. Go into the specific topic, and you can split posts from the current topic and point them to a new topic.
I haven't had to use this feature, so I can't exactly give much more detail on it. I would test it on a dummy topic before going after actual posts, though. |

Hmmm, either I'm missing something, or it is not there...
When I split a topc, I can select a forum for the new topic and I can give a name for the new topic, but I can't select an existing topic. And even if the name I give for the new topic is the same as an existing topic, it still creates a new topic and I end up with two topics with the same name. (I tried that already.)
