Manual. Automatic is very rare here in Germany. Only drove it once and it drove me crazy, but that's a matter of getting used to it I guess.

Unless I lived strictly in a jammed traffic environment (read LA freeways), I'd want nothing but manual. For that matter, unless I had a reasonable powerful engine for the size of the car, I'd want manual simply because you don't loose power there like you do with an automatic (my '96 Contour SE is the first car I've owned where I had a nice excess of power under the hood).

HTH,
Cateagle

I am on the LA freeways every day and I still prefer a manual. Smile

Well, actually, so did I when I lived out there (late '82 to late '95 and late '96 to early '00). But there were times when I was shifting enough that I felt like I was rowing the car. Laughing Laughing

Automatic but wish I had a manual. The next small car I want is the drifter car "Toyota MR2" Mr. Green

But my next venture will be a motorcycle. Kawasaki or Yamaha, I'm not sure which.

*sits in a corner rocking*

eleven days.... eleven days....

(I'm turning 16 on the 20th of May. I'm getting dropped off at the DMV {Or whatever the Canadian version of it is} right after school to get my G2.

I just hope they don't make it mandatory to know how to drive a manual... else I'll be burning out a few clutches...)
