A slave can be set free by his/her owner. The action has to be properly notarized by a representative of the emperor, someone with judicial power (appointed judge, governor or the noble with these powers). _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

A very nice one, Nameless. Granted, the previous behavior on Henry's part made this somewhat likely, but is was most enjoyable to read.

It's an interesting chapter indeed. This reader gets the impression that you're setting up the basis for the next arc of the story. The background bits were rather interesting, too. I certainly gained more respect for Henry.
Cheers,

Thanks, Nameless. I kept reading through the terrible things Sara went through, hoping that life would get better for her.
And it seems that it is.

Well, you'll have to wait quite a bit more for the happy end. If is not quite as easy as "They lived happy ever after..."
I have already written the end, but you'll have to wait... _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

If you try to get to it on his website, you have to click "Runic Carvings" and then "Other Musings". There's a link there to Kinsfire's Adult Bookshelf. You have to get a login password to read it.
Or you can go straight to KAB and use the index. _________________ Oddly enough, my life is based on a true story. (Ashleigh Brilliant) |

Unfortunately, no.
I still have not fixed the link, it points at the old location of the KAB.
Goto kaisha.cx, from there you can find the KAB.
Get a login there, there is another discussion topic on the story there, this has a link to where it is on my site. _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |
