Happy holidays, indeed!
A very nice chapter, Hikaru! (It helped going back a couple of chapters to reacquaint myself with what was going on.)
Although she was a bit harsh, I appreciate Zig's comments to Sandy at the end of the story. I'm sure that, coming from a broken home herself, she has some personal knowledge of screwing up a family relationship. If you have been reading Chris Foxx's SOLtS, I think someone needs to do the same thing for Sabrina and her mom, too....
I get a kick out of Thomas, whom we seem to expect is really Arden, being rightfully afraid of tangling with Zig after her outburst. I don't think he'd want to face her, even in polar bear form!
I may need to reread the entire Act 4 to refresh my memory, but I was completely surprised to find out that Sheila's shrink (Amanda) was deliberately messing with her mind. At least, I'm assuming that was the shrink on the phone with the jackal. Amanda did express annoyance that Sheila was no longer being manipulated...but it could be that this is what a psychiatrist would do in this situation: manipulate the patient's emotions to affect a cure. Hikaru is twisty enough to have a completely separate person being responsible for the conditioning, but right now, I'll simply blame the shrink....
Which reminds me.... Hikaru, Chapter 24 is not showing up as a link on the Act 4 Main Menu, although it is showing up on the home page as the newest link. _________________ Hortmage, the Magic Gardener

Seems too recent in my memory for him to have gotten even half way through 1., but then I don't know how fast he works when re-editing. _________________ "Cogito, ergo es. I think, therefore you is." Ray D. Tutto (King of the Moon) to Baron Munschaussen |

No, no re-write done yet. Mostly been dealing with burn-out.
My resolution for the year is to try and keep a consistant schedule for writing again. We'll see if it holds.
I just got home from Albuquerque and am trashed, but have some ideas for where to take the story again. I'll see about working on it this week.
