Hmm new characters, old characters
hmmmm... y'know... I'm tempted to resume work on some of my older models, the ones I never completed, like Eric's Sabrina for example...
This could be quite something, if I
model her to my new standards of modeling...

Oh well.. it's damn well worth the
trouble Razz

Hmm, from what I've read here, it takes a while just to make one character, evenmoreso with the learning curve you've been overcoming (and quite nicely, I'll add), then throw in sickness and the always-encroaching real world...

Yeah, I can see where your aforementioned annoyance would be severely irritating.

(Side question: Out of curiosity, how long does it take to render a picture? No incoming requests, I promise you that.)

Well you're right about the learning curve, it has been pretty steep, along
the way I learned some valuable lessons. Each model is a significant
improvement over the last.
As I get a better understanding of soft-bodied modeling each and every
model after the next, build time is reduced considerably.

A basic render without any real raytraced surfaces, or advanced lighting
takes about 15 seconds to initialize, thereafter it takes about 3 seconds a
frame. But of course that's just a basic render. Now add a background
set, apply raytracing to headfur, light reflection, absorption properties to
the character, clothing, cloth dynamics, fur dynamics and the set it can
take anything up 20 minutes to initialize, and that's on a high powered 64-machine too.
