For me, that depends on where and when:

Weekdays, day light hours:
T1, shared on various networks, at work.

After Work- 802.11b (working on .11a Smile ) around various locations here and there.

At night, at home- 56K modem, working on a distributed wireless network w/ neighbors and friends.

Weekend- cable access, depening on who and where.

Normally I use a school run high speed dsl connection for teachers, roughly 15megs. When I'm not using that I'm using a 78kbs wireless cell connection. My max on that is 115kbs at night, and on the weekends.

Greetings!

I usually use the 2Mb/s connection at the office, but sometimes I pop in using my cell-phone(9600 or GPRS which give me about 42300 on a good day)

DSL (by Sprint) at home, T1 at work. But the work connection is on a HEAVILY shielded LAN, which must go through the firewall in the corporate office in New Jersey. It's so loaded down with filters and whatnot that my home connection is slightly faster. But the work connection is more robust.

I'm another of those where it varies. At home, it's just your basic DSL, at work I'm on a T3...happy me!

For me it is meant to be 56k, but for some reason my modem wont connect higher than 45,333. And stranger still I have download speeds equal to most DSL's on some days and 28k on others.

It is rather unusual to get more than 45k to 48k from a 56k modem, unless your line is really good. Most 56k modems also compress the data, so if you dl compressible files (text and such) you can get more than 56k. And sometimes the connection sucks, or the server at the other end does not like to part with his files. Twisted Evil

I have ISDN at home. We got a special offer a while back, plus having the second phone line is a real plus because we tend to be online whenever we are home (No per minute or per MB charges Very Happy ). It would be nice to switch to DSL, but the pricing structure sucks. If you exceed the 1 GB you usually get per month, the prive per MB is horrible. The second GB costs several times as much as the first. Evil or Very Mad

I don't know what we have at work, but with the succk proxy server we have, I even have to use IE Evil or Very Mad other browsers or other programs (IM) are not allowed. Sad

Well, that would depend on which computer I'm using. If I'm using my father's computer, it's a DSL connection. If I'm using my own computer, it's a nonexistant connection. Wink
