I just can't ever seem to get a break. Sad

For those who are familiar with RAID arrays, specifically software based on Linux, I may need your help.

This morning around midnight, the server started having problems with individual services failing. I didn't notice it until about 10:30am. Services like apache, ftp, ssh, telnet, etc. were all dead, and it was impossible to bring it back up remotely, so I had the ISP power-cycle the box.

Well, of course another problem came to my attention... the admin interface for the server was failing to start because of pgsql not unloading correctly. Wonderful. Got that fixed, restarted the server again, and everything looks like it's okay.

Almost. I start browsing through the syslogs checking for anything that might have triggered the problem. It looks like something running on my PC at home flooded the server somehow. But that's not what got my attention. As I was checking the RAID status, it said that only one of the drives in the array was active, and that the other was down. Great.

Well, I'm checking through manuals and howtos with Redhat and other various sites, and it looks like it's not as bad as it seems. However, I am not sure how to bring the drive back online and sync it with the other.

If anyone has any experience with Linux Software RAID-1 on Redhat 7.x, please let me know. We are currently running on one drive, with no reduncancy. If that one dies, then that's it. Show's over.
