Meanwhile in Texas I spent all weekend on the track and it’ll be 67* tomorrow. Winter never can make up its mind when it wants to show up here.

Had to clear six inches of the powdery stuff off both vehicles and empty the truck bed of about the same amount. The wife unit got some slush driving practice in the Explorer (2wd) today because there was no weather like this in the SF Bay Area to familiarize herself with the nuances of inclement driving.

Supposed to get more snow Saturday. Yay. Rolling Eyes

Kellan, was that a guy's six inches or a real six inches?

Cause, y'know, evaluating how well the tires really worked and all.

Hmmm, looks like March on the North Coast, warm air from the Gulf followed by an Alberta clipper … course, there'd be snow then … Rolling Eyes

An honest six inches or a bit more. Did give me an excuse to run around the unplowed roads in the neighborhood (and a church parking lot) to give the transfer case/front diff and locking hubs a run. I hadn't had it in 4WD for some time now. And, need to lube the xfer case shift mechanism to get through the neutral gate to 4 Low. That can wait until I can pull it part way into the garage. The truck doesn't clear the top of the door frame. Oh well . . .
