Will hello there Kantaro, haven't seen you in a long while. A furry movie, looks like it may be good... _________________ Due Too Budget Cuts The Light At The End Of The Tunnel Has Been Turned Off.

Heck YES. I'm pretty sure that there is a furry somewhere high up in the chain of command at Disney--they specifically used the word 'Anthropomorphic' in the teaser. _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

It looks freakin' ADORABLE. And yeah Teric, I was also surprised at how sort of... furry-specific it was. Like, this isn't even about our normal anthro characters, this is a movie literally made for furries.
That voiceover could just have substituted "zootopia" for "furry". _________________ Formerly known as Xaqtly.

The trailer looks great and funny.
And yes I was surprised that it was so furry specific. _________________ i`m not hairy it is fur. |

Why would you be surprised? Seriously? Disney practically invented furry kids with all their anthro movie characters! They probably took one look at Anthrocon, saw all the money that people had, and declared "We gotta get in on this shit NOW!" _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com

OK, so if you ignore the sex/rule34 stuff in this article, the conclusion is pretty much exactly what I've been thinking, from the first time I saw the first teaser:
This movie is very literally made for furries. As in, Disney is actually targeting the furry demographic. Because:
1. Disney is a business and they want to make as much money as they possibly can
2. Furries are an almost entirely untapped market
3. Disney is the company that unintentionally created most furries today anyway (me included - It was Disney's Robin Hood for me).
Interesting to see what will happen with this. Is Disney about to blow the lid off the furry underground and welcome us into the light?

And here's official trailer #2. This one gives us a much broader look at the movie and what it's about. And it looks to me like Pixar is working their magic again. The first teaser and trailer were good but made the movie seem a little superficial, or one dimensional. The new trailer makes it look like it has a lot more depth, and now I want to see it more than ever.

The reviews are dead-on. This is the best movie I've seen in a very, very long time. Forget about the fact that it's kind of a furry movie, which it is - that's not why you should go see it. I think I liked Zootopia even more than Star Wars and Deadpool, both of which I loved very much.
Every single second of this movie is crafted with so much care that it never loses you. And when it's over, you just want more. It is Pixar at its absolute flawless finest. I don't say that about every Pixar movie either, I didn't care for Big Hero 6 or Inside Out nearly as much. In fact up till now my favorite was probably The Incredibles.
Zootopia sits on top of all of them, I believe. It's that good. Do whatever you can to go see it. _________________ Formerly known as Xaqtly.

Disney certainly stepped up their act with this one. The work on the city around the characters was incredibly detailed, and they didn't slack on the render time.
Add in a rock solid story with some excellent twists and turns and you have a sweet movie.
I just wish they hadn't ruined some of the good plot twists with the teasers, but they REALLY wanted to pump up the hype and succeeded.
Cheers!! _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com
