How does one feel about them, do you think they are childish and for the great unwashed plebeian plurality?
Or do you think they add pace and timing to a scene? Give it punch that it needs. A creative dressing to a scene that needs to move and flow. _________________ I want something good to die for

I try my best to refrain from the use of onomatopoeias in my writings. To me, it's kind of distracting to the actual workings of the written word.
Just my $0.02 USD worth.

I agree with you, I do the same unless I feel I have no other option for the sake of pacing.
I used to read a lot of Matthew Reilly books when I was younger, now that is a fellow who relies on them too much. Coming back to his books as an adult was an experience that's for sure. _________________ I want something good to die for
