My normal email program has been refusing to allow me to send any email from any of my email addys for months now.
I tried to send you a pdf of book 2 of Rava's story using gmail. It seemed to work but since I have not gotten a reply I have to assume it did not.
At this point I do not know what to do. |

Mike-
You might want to check to see if your ISP changed the port for your email program for outbound mail. I know Comcast and Omnis both changed the port from 25 to port 587.
Just a thought. _________________ "Старый боевой конь, Кeллан" |

I use an old program called Eudora Pro v. 7.0 that was produced by Qualcom. It is from back in the mid 90s.
The problem is not the port, I checked with GoDaddy and they have not changed from the 25 & 80 ports. From the error message 'unknown error' I get and a page of code, it appears to be some certificate. I have tried several email addys from various providers, no go.
Gmail did not give any error but I also did not get any response to it. I can only assume it failed as well.
Eudora Pro will download all email to my hard drive. I can still access mail from years back even if I cannot connect at the time. The other clients I have tried I can only get access to the when I am connected to internet. Eudora will also sort them into 'boxes' and can be set to speak the sender and subject so I do not have to be sitting in front of the computer at all times.
I still get email with no problem but booted when I try to send. This began last June it seems. |

This is a known problem with GoDaddy. I would try changing to Port 587 for outgoing SMTP or at the very least, put their certificate in the list of trusted certificates in Eudora.
Did it say, "SSL Negotiation Failed: Certificate Error: Cert Chain not trusted. Try adding this certificate to your certificate database for SSL to succeed?"
If so, look Here.
I used to use Eudora, until my server provided by my ISP was replaced. Now I use Thunderbird. Not as configurable but it works. _________________ "Старый боевой конь, Кeллан" |

Port 587 still failed.
It appears that I was able to install a new certificate and get it to send.
All 3 books was a rather large file so I hope it went through OK. |
