The FBI is shutting infected servers from spreading the DNS Changer Virus, which infects the DNS of computers, making them incapable of finding websites.

It infects both PCs, and Macs, only because DNS uses the same DNS File Format. It may also infect Linux Machines.

Please be a little bit more accurate.

DNS isn't a file on your computer, it's a service on the internet.

Of course, there is Platform-specific malware that is run on your computer to set up the necessary changes, and to stop you from fixing it.

Note that this malware can affect the settings on many popular home routers, too. This means that if your PC is set to automatically get an IP address and DNS-server address from a DHCP-server on your network, you may end up using the bad DNS servers even if your computer is 'clean'.
