chapter one is up. (finally!)
My thoughts:
We find our long eared fluffy hero at the head of an 'intervention', a semi-political mission to suggest to the house of Hashimoto to reconsider. He seems to have been able (again) to get good people with him. Smart, experienced, ready and loyal. The exception to the rule is not only to be expected, but I say he's still two out of four:
- not so smart
- not so experienced
+ ready, oh yeah bring it on baby, you can't touch me!
+- loyal, hmm. Who's to say?
David was able to improve his booze-drinking subordinate when on Richard, perhaps he can pull the same stunt here?
Chapter two doubtlessly brings us in Hashimoto space. I'm wondering, they know this is coming, right? They're not simpletons and are quite possibly aligned with the Emperor already. In the latter case this is a trap. Right now David still believes there is a remote chance to get out of this without (too much) bloodshed.
If the Hashimoto house plays their cards right and spring a good trap they can destroy the fleet, capture David and his 'cronies'. Luckily David shows sense in that he realizes that he's going to appear the aggressor. I think he knows more of this role than he thinks. |
