Well, here it is, chapter 29 of "Redemption".
All that is left now is the epilogue.

oookay ... was that last line of Aslaug's a subtle hint with a clue-by-four for me, Kellan? That is pretty much how Gunsmoke started, more or less |

It wasn't meant as a clue-by-four as such. I needed some line for the filly and after -many- failed attempts, that line came to mind.
It is there as a tie-in, though. You do know how I like to tie all of the various works together.

I was under the impression that, even if it is just a hint, the abortive Gunsmoke happened many months after the events of the collective stories of the filly's Test of Time, your Redemption, and my Lux Aeterna, plus another incomplete work.
Gunsmoke made mention of Anane's death at Aslaug's hand while in Hell, a story that the filly entrusted to me that I've been stuck on for ages now.
Though I admit rather shamefully I've hardly been very conducive or forthcoming with posting my other writing either, as I don't have anywhere to post them or let people read them. I stink at website or forum creation or administration. So a lot of that extra story stuff not getting taken into consideration is solely my fault...
... I also admit that I'm probably reading too much into this anyway. I'm sorry for being so worked up about it all. _________________ "Without question, the greatest invention in the history of [fur]kind is beer. You know, there is one more story, in draft form, that keeps calling out to me.
It takes place a few years after "Redemption", and it's not a 'Go forth and do my bidding' tome. The premise is, an offer is made by Judge Talmadge of a major cash infusion for the Ranch and the termination of their remaining probation period in exchange for the retrieval of a missing Agent of the Celestial Courts. As simple job, really. . . You know how that goes . . .
The working title is "Paw Full Of Dollars". I know, not much of a title but I needed something to put on the cover of the notebook the draft lives in.
I may finish this story some day but for now, it's on to "Scribe", a tome set in my own universe. I'll keep you all in the loop on that one.
BioCobra - I would say that you are right, "Gunsmoke" doesn't fall into the time frame very well but like I said, I needed a line for the filly and I went trough dozens of permutations before that one just fell from fingertips.
Frazikar - Thank you for the two thumbs up!

No one says it has to work perfectly. In all fairness, I went back and reread Gunsmoke and what I had done on that, and I think it contains some of the best banter I have ever written. It also contains a serious flaw, however, but I think I know how to correct that.
However, I am not going to commit to writing that at this time, since I am so engrossed in "Closed Game" ... but maybe somewhere down the line, who knows. |

Okay, here they are, all three epilogues for "Redemption."
Epilogue 1, "First Day And Some Unexpected News,
Epilogue 2, "Why?", penned by none other than our own Silver Coyote, and
Epilogue 3, "Truth On A Quiet Street In De Pere, Wisconsin"
I hope you all enjoyed the story line and please take a moment to let SC know what you thought about his contribution.

Hnmmm, three epilogues...ya know, with that cast some whould ask, why only three but...
Ep#1 - 'some sour with the sweet' sounds right, along with 'life goes on'
Ep#2 - 'time for a change' along with 'R-E-S-P-E-C-T'...
Ep#3 - 'through the (looking)glass (lightly?)' seems best...
(* NFL - 12 game season, very old school*)
[last story, huh?] |

For now, yes. I'll take a pause from writing more of the Immortal Couple's stories, so "Paw Full Of Dollars" will have to wait until I find time. Currently I'm writing a tome in my own universe, one that I think you all will enjoy.
