Hello, everyone!

Well, I've decided to send my sequel/extrapolation of "The Incredibles" to Mike for posting. It's a finished novel, as I mentioned elsewhere earlier, and I've pretty much given up on my initial plan, which was to send it as a gift to Brad Bird. Apparently you can't do that ... not without engaging the services of an agent and possibly a lawyer.

Meh.

So, here are some ground rules:
--- If you haven't seen the movie, DON'T READ INVIOLATE. In the first place it won't make sense, and in the second you REALLY have to get the flavor of the movie to appreciate what happens later. And in the third place, it's one of the finest examples of cinematic fiction ever produced, and you owe it to yourself BIG TIME to watch it.
--- If you can't remember the movie, pleasepleaseplease rent it and watch it BEFORE reading Inviolate.
--- I am a complete, total fanboy whore for Violet Parr. I have been told that was pretty obvious from reading my story. I don't care.
--- All comments are welcome, but please realize that I'm happy with the story as it is; it is finished and I won't be making any changes anywhere.
--- There are several special fonts in use in various spots in the book. If you can't see them, it won't destroy the story, but being able to see them, I think, helps a good bit. That being said, my opinion is that it would be viewed best as a PDF file.
--- As with my other "large" work, any derivative tales are fine with me, as long as you get my permission first. Also, you have to make a note somewhere that you Don't Own The Incredibles and are Not Receiving Any Money for the story you write. Disney, despite their reputation for jovial family entertainment, has no sense of humor about that sort of thing AT ALL.

I guess that's about it.

I got the story to Mike way too late in the week for it to post this weekend. Considering its length, it may not post next weekend either. I don't mind either way. Heck, I finished it in 2006, so who am I to kick?

Happy reading!

Mike and I have been talking about this. I made a change and sent him the revised file. If it works, great. If not, I'll dig up a different font to use.

(Although I don't really want to ... that font was PERFECT.)

Yeah, special tools can be annoying...

somewhere I have a 43 or 44mm pipe(1/2" socket wrench type) which I only used once; to remove the fan on my first car so that I could fit a new alternator belt.(I later learned how to do it without removing the fan. You just have to sacrifice some skin on your knuckles... )

And my father has falf a garage full of tools he made to service his digger.
(12Ton hydraulic. I think he actually made the manufaturer rewrite their servie manual once. They didn't think it was possible to separate the top and bottom of it in the field without a big crane.)

That fork, though, can be used on many different vehicles, so who knows; you may need it again some time.

And you can use it to poke BIG pickles.

If you'd said ball joint separator, I would have known what you needed. I've never heard of them being called pickle forks. All my thoughts were pointing to using a kitchen utensil on your car.

Yeah...

And if I had a colour laser, I'd end up with blue backgrounds on the printouts, too.

It's probably possible to print without background colours.
(Haven't tried it yet)

Looked OK on the screen, though.

Haven't had time to read much, either.
