The only problem I see with this is the potential for fraudulent use, or annoying people with fax calls on their regular phones. (Skype will show a series of zeroes on a caller ID)
Annoying people with fax calls on their regular phones... hmmm... _________________ Hey, Sony... IT'S PAYBACK TIME!

There's a good way to test if a telecommunications company is interested in your custom. There are so many around nowadays that you can always just threaten to sign-up with someone else, even if you don't really want to. That's usually enough to make them pull their finger out.
Also, faxing? Isn't that somewhat obsolete now, in these modern days of instant messaging systems, digital file transfers, smart phones and Dropbox?
The modern tech isn't perfect, but at least it doesn't make that HORRENDOUS fax machine noise. _________________ -=Scifer. Badgerfox.

Believe it or not, despite having a significant number of benefits, electronic communication also has it's flaws.
A fax machine is more secure, more private, and provides a hard-copy transcript of data.
Magnets can't erase a fire-proof safe and papers. _________________ Ciara 12/26/08

Hey, Mike. How did you make the payment? If you used your bank's bill pay, that's probably why. Banks will withdraw from your account on a certain date, but that doesn't mean it's an electronic transfer. Your bank will never tell you that what they do, is they print a check and put in the mail.
To ensure your payment posts with a provider, try and pay directly on their website.
PS, now you know why I don't like cellphones or cell providers.
PPS. Maybe the bill printed before the payment posted? _________________ Hey, Sony... IT'S PAYBACK TIME!

Oh, good to hear. No bank here in Arizona will do that. That's why I said they won't tell you how it works with the check and the like.
Glad I work for a decent phone and internet provider. _________________ Hey, Sony... IT'S PAYBACK TIME!

While SecondLife is in that camp, they aren't specifically set up for it. I remember seeing ads for online VR systems specifically for cybersex. Most of it with "bots" (non-player characters). Guess if you're loser enough to need VR for sex, you're probably too loser to hookup with another loser online and you need a bot.
I've been on ActiveWorlds since 1997. While not quite the singles bar SecondLife has turned out to be, there is some of that. Gorean stuff crept into AW several years back. At first glance, I thought it interesting. After asking too many questions someone in a Gor-themed world gave me a link to a pro-Gor website. After reading I came to the conclusion it was asinine.
Pretty much like FAX.
