Hope this isn't censored, but... WTF!?

You're not supposed to bring out this amount of awesome in just one posting.

Not posting more, to avoid spoilers, but yeah, awesome.

Mike; You may want to check your files, as the card catalog entries doesn't work, and I think classing it as 'non-furry' is wrong as the boy is a rabbit, even if it doesn't come up all the time.

<blush>

Thank you for all the kind words!

I don't tend to post my stuff on forums because this makes it _much_harder to sell to publishers. When I _do_ post, it tends to be my older, weaker work for this same reason. But this time around, I decided to be different. If I end up with something that looks salable, I may hafta ask Mike to take it down.

As for the furry/non-furry part, perhaps a "mixed" classification should be added.

I haven't started reading this one yet but perhaps I will before the weekend update.

WOA.

This is some good stuff! Just read up through part 7. A gripping, exciting read!

And now I just HAVE to know what happens to the three of them as they plummet toward the planet, in a ship bereft of engines and just enough atmosphere to sustain a single room!

The story is starting to shape up very well. It will be interesting to see where the story goes.

Hmmm, a free lepine who's also a cadet, it won't be good to spread that info out....

Of course, the young Lord knows how to throw some of his new weight around (and will be getting LOTS of practice soon)...

Wow. Talk about opening up with a bang! That reminds me of some of the better James Bond movies, as far as action sequences are concerned.

David's a really good kid. Excellent characterizations all around, but then history has shown you to be adept at that. Now, though, I worry about how he's going to get along as a free bunny, assuming they get away safely. It seems the zeitgeist isn't set up for that.

Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to the next installment.

So Percy deliberately stepped out of the airlock to let David into the ship. Seems like the rest of the crew on board aren't too fond of rabbits. It's nice to know that David has at least two humans on board that are on his side, but I fear that he has a pretty rough uphill battle ahead of him to earn any respect at all.

I suspect the marines likely would have let him drift off into space if he missed any of his space leaps... Evil or Very Mad

Racism still runs deep, even in the far future.

Aw, crap. Crazy captain that has zero tactical sense, planning to board and take over an imperial cruiser.

Captain Blaine, if you would stop for a second and consider: Your engineering section is completely scrapped. You can't move your ship by conventional means, and your velocity is a complete zero. In all likelihood, the cruiser will exit the jump point headed right up your aft section, leaving you in absolutely no position to board it before the Hummingbird is obliterated.

So, perhaps, you plan to send out your marines in space suits, well enough away from the Hummingbird to avoid getting smashed in the process, and then by some miracle grabbing onto the passing cruiser and then by yet another miracle finding some way to gather enough marines together in one place on the hull to (by yet another miracle) cut through it and mount an effective assault against a crew that outnumbers them ten to one?

Well, Captain, I hope you plan to join those marines out in space, because your precious Hummingbird is doomed unless you can figure out a way to move it without engines.

Move over, idiot. Let those with brains try to figure this out.

Sometimes the best defense is an offense with a questionable outcome...

Teric, space is big...

Even so, any cruiser enting the system may have to use the same course and speed to collide with Hummingbird. Up to the author...
