Hi, my name is Nick. The Game Industry can be very difficult to get into these days. The key to making it is attaining a diverse background in gaming knowledge, and understanding various software packages. Programs such as Maya, Photoshop, and 3dsMax are at the helm of the industry and are great to know for developing a portfolio or getting further into your business or hobby. In succeeding as a digital artist it’s vital to broaden your knowledge in regards to traditional skill, technology, and creativity. I hope to be of help to others in understanding digital art and the game industry.

Thanks for having me here, Smile

Nick B.

Fixed for Syrius.

P.S. - Nick, as you might guess, we do not tolerate spammers. Instant Banhammer. If you think this won't happen, pm Mike Regan. He will confirm this. Especially since he is the Banhammer.

Red flags - a gmail email addy, the bland no real info post, Same post, word for word, made on other forums having nothing to do with games.

So basically I'm in trouble as I use a Gmail email address, my newer intro posts are copy/paste from my FurAffinity page and I don't have nothing to do with games? Laughing

Sorry, I had to point that out and be pedant ^^;

I've seen many spambots in my time and they are all the same. The vBulletin one's just put an ICQ number in and then spam up the forum. Good thing people alert me quickly and it's just a few clicks and boom.

I only use Gmail as my email thing for ALL forums, is because it's just forum replies and I can fill it up with them instead of my other inboxes.

sigh... i'm looking into doing an update for the forum software with Bear, i know there's a way of changing the board settings to only let registered users post.

As always its just an option, but i want to make sure we have it before going further.

I think he was a registered user, until we found out he was a spammer.

Another good one would be a setting to ban by website.

I have seen many list websites that have viagra, cialis, or other pharmacy type things in the name. Then of course are the porn sites.

Be nice if we could ban by them.
