Just to get this going, and to have a functional link from the blog page. Tell me what's on your mind!

It's starting off well so far, Teric. Happy 2010 to you and yours as well!
I found out today that I messed up just a bit before I left for the Sierra the week before last. I created an out of office reply in my Outlook e-mail at the end of the work day, and I guess was in a bit of a hurry (it was the last day before Christmas Eve, after all ...). All I did was advise my co-workers that I'd be out of the office on annual leave, that they needed to contact my boss if they needed assistance on any projects I was responsible for (listing his telephone number and e-mail address), and advising that I'd return on 5 January ... 2101!
Needless to say I received some great e-mails from my peers advising me that they'd probably all be dead by the time I returned to work, 91 years from now.
My only excuse: it was the end of the last workday of 2009. I guess I was a little distracted ...

Well, it is a union shop, after all ...
<laughs>
I didn't even think of that, Mike!
Maybe I'll stay away from work for a few more weeks and see if the paychecks keep coming in the mail.
<thinks>
Then again, I can imagine The Fox's reaction to me bumming around the house all day long for weeks on end. You know what? I like my tail right where it is, thanks. Guess I'll be reporting to work at 0600 tomorrow ...
Later ...

The only bad part of that trip, T, like all vacations, is that it eventually had to come to an end. We're already brainstorming the annual Easter excursion (exact destination not yet determined, but the old friends up north in the eastern Sierra beckon), and my Fox is making noises like she want's a "one-on-one" trip sometime between now and then.
<grins>
I love it when she gets creative ...
So more albums in the future. With these new lenses and a little bit of time to hone my skills, I may be able to produce a couple decent images now and then.
<thinks>
Seems to me the Chino Air Show ought to be coming up this spring. Maybe I'll find something to point my camera at there while I'm at it!

Seems something's wrong with your site, SC. I try to go there and it says your bandwith has been exceeded and consequently your site is off-limits for the time being. _________________ "My queen, you know you've hit rock bottom when even -drag- is a drag ... "

I hope the good deal on your new hosting didn't come at the expense of bandwidth.
Hope you get this straightened out soon,

Looks like we're back in business on The Range.
... 'til the next thing blows up. At least I got a new FTP client out of the deal. The makers of SmartFTP had mistaken me for a cash cow and were starting to milk me like one. Sayonara, not-so-SmartFTP! I just installed WinSCP ... for free ... and things are back to normal.
Or what passes for normal around here!

I'm glad you got it fixed. When it dragged out I was worried it was something more serious. So ... I take it the problem wasn't your friend helping you with the new homepage, but some software-issue? _________________ "My queen, you know you've hit rock bottom when even -drag- is a drag ... "

Not really sure yet. It might have been the FTP client (SmartFTP) I was using to upload files to the web site. I'll know more tomorrow, and let you know.
Thanks for thinking about me, dear. I owe you a proof, I just haven't had time to do a proper job of it. Hopefully this weekend ...

Glad to see "The Range" back in action.
BTW, I use FileZilla. Open source, free and it rocks!

I prefer Cyberduck.
(OS X only)
Integrates nicely with SubEtaEdit and just about anything else. _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"
