It's still a little ways away but still need to keep it in mind. Camping Friday evening till Sunday afternoon, October 9-11th.
IronTiger and I have site number 3 at Cages Bend camp ground just west of Gallatin, Tn. Site 4 is basically booked but sites 5 and 6 just down from us are still open that weekend. Stuff like camp sites get reserved early so if you want to be there for all the fun you need to be thinking about reserving very soon!
Craigslist is a good place to find cheap tents or if you have an RV or a big enough vehicle you can sleep in those.
We will be within sight of the bathrooms and just across the road from the lake. There is a boat dock just down the road, and a fishing dock just across from our site.
We'll be having a picnic Saturday afternoon so even if you don't camp you can still come for the day. As it gets closer I'll start a list of who is bringing what.
If you want to camp you need to be planning it now, sites across the road from the lake are only $19.00/night, by the lake is $23.00/night. Camp website is: https://www.recreation.gov/camping/Cages_Bend_Tn/r/campgroundDetails.do?parkId=71064&contractCode=NRSO&chkAg=y _________________ http://www.bukisa.com/people/AmberBarnes check it out!

As of now, I'm scheduled to work both Friday _and_ Saturday night.

And I just bought a tent, too! |

The camp ground is totally booked!
Your only option for camping is site 7 is available Friday night, otherwise it's totally booked.
You can still look into a local motel and just drive out to the camp grounds during the day. Or if you live close enough you can just join for the day.
Saturday will be the potluck picnic at 2pm. We'll have a fire and I have a metal holder that can cook hot dogs and burger patties over the fire if people bring them.
So sound off; will you be joining us at any time, will you be there for the meal and bring something? _________________ http://www.bukisa.com/people/AmberBarnes check it out!

Sadly my request for those days off has been denied. I've entered the time period from October thru January where it requires a nearly epic battle in order to get a day off from work. Gotta love retail! >.<; _________________ There is no signature here. |

Well, since many "furs" don't like the outdoors (I don't know how that works) there is not many who wanted to go camping.
IronTiger and myself will still be camping this weekend, Friday and Saturday night. Leonato and Journye will be joining us Saturday for most of the day and camping Saturday night.
If anyone else wants to brave the outdoors Saturday during the day to join for games and conversation they are welcome to come out.
The camp grounds are just west of Gallatin, Tn. Get on Gallatin Pike (Johnny Cash Pike) and turn south on Cages Bend Rd, follow it out till you see Benders Ferry Rd on your left and turn onto it, the camp grounds will be on your left, we are camp site 3, or if you go past the entrance to the camp grounds you can park by the camp bathrooms or in the parking lot for the boat dock. _________________ http://www.bukisa.com/people/AmberBarnes check it out!
