Not that I expect to send more than one or two to Mike over here, but since running into a block on my first story, I've gone on to starting some for Metamor Keep. The first of which is a character intro and backstory before traveling to Metamor.
Leaving Lom
For those unfamiliar with or needing a refresher, here is their intro page or the What Is Metamor Keep? page on their wiki site.
Before you start reading, be warned Metamor Keep's total word count is approximately 5,439,105. There are 500 stories in all, and the average story is 10,878 words long. (YAY! I helped push it to 500!)
It took me several months while holding only a part time (2 days/week) job to get through the (at that time) 460 story archive, and I enjoyed it all, especially IMing typos back to at least one of the authors (he had a lot of laughs too).
Now, back to working on my MK story #2 (currently untitled). Maybe it'll awaken my muse for my first-started story. _________________ "Cogito, ergo es. I think, therefore you is." Ray D. Tutto (King of the Moon) to Baron Munschaussen |

My second story, The Long Road is up for anyone interested, 14k words instead of the 5k of the first one.
Now slowly working on the third one, and this time the Metamor curse takes hold. I don't have any great goal in mind otherwise, so I have no clue how long it'll be (2k now) or what all will be happening beyond the characters getting familiar with the keep, its inhabitants and the changes wrought by the curse. Only the first story had much of an outline. _________________ "Cogito, ergo es. I think, therefore you is." Ray D. Tutto (King of the Moon) to Baron Munschaussen |
