What program does Bastion or Joan use to post things to the Wordpress site?
A friend's looking (figuratively, the person's blind) and hasn't had luck.
She's tried Email, and it mauls her postings something fierce.

I played with Wordpress in a sandbox situation here at home. It required you to log in, then provided a posting box very similar to posting on PF. I'm not sure I've seen a way to log in remotely via script or similar to post.
The Wordpress website http://www.wordpress.com has some info available. I don't know that Joan is using wordpress.com or if she has her blog hosted somewhere else (another server), since she does have a domain.
Maybe Bastion can fill in the blanks I've left. Would screen caps help to see how it's done? I can do that for ya is you would like.

I hope Bastion can explain it because I'm absolutely blank about how to make those posts  I send him the chapters for posting and as far as I'm concerned they then magically appears on the homepage |

The Wordpress software is installed on another server, so we're not using wordpress.com.
The posting itself is done very much like Kellan described it. There's a box for writing your post and you can format the post pretty much how you like.
During my exploration of Wordpress, I believe I came upon a plugin that allows you to send an email to Wordpress, which will in turn convert it to a blogpost. I haven't checked it out, so I don't know how well it functions.
If Karou is thinking about the html- and pdf-files, I use a combination of PSPad, Word 2007 and CutePDF.

What you do is basically what my friend does, though she says she has to go through her email and eliminate unneeded carriage returns that mess her posts up.
She was looking for an easier way to do things, especially since she's doing it all without the benefit of sight.
Yes, that's right, she MU* using a special program that reads all the responses to her.
