Okay so with reading about the semi-regular fur meets Princess and some of the south-eastern furs are having I was wondering if any furs here in southern California are interested in getting together. So what do you all say to getting together, maybe at a park or something?

P.S. If we do this there is a nice little park near me that has a pavilion they rent out, otherwise I'd likely need a ride to where ever we do this.

Your best bet is you make plans and invite everyone to join you. Folks can talk and debate forever till all forget about the whole idea. It's best to just make plans then at the gathering invite everyone to suggest ideas for another gathering, plan a gathering themselves, invite anyone else they know, etc.
Make plans for around 3-6 weeks in the future for the best turn out. It means you have to wait but it gives the opportunity for people to work it into their schedule.
As you get a gathering you can learn where everyone is coming from then look for a central area so no one has an extremely far distance to travel.

For now, set plans, tell every fur you can think of then at the gathering ask for ideas for more gatherings, interest in having more or if anyone else wants to plan one.

Hey, are Nor-Cal furs invited? Granted, it is a long drive but I'm not sure there are many Nor-Cal furs on the board.

Okay, here's the plan I spoke to the lady I rent my room from and she said it would be okay to have a get together here so I was thinking the last Saturday of June the 27Th starting around 10am or so till whenever. So I was thinking I could get some wienies and hamburger patties some buns, paper plates, plastic ware & cups. So all we need is who's bringing what else. Oh and there's a built in pool so if it's hot feel free to bring a bathing suit. Oh and feel free to bring the kiddies and please no alcohol. Smile

p.s. If the date is a problem let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Kel had to come and smack me in the ear to get my attention and make me aware of your gracious invitation, so now that I know what's going on my Fox and I will try to throw in. What do you need to go with the grilled stuff? Salads? Veggies? <grins> Desserts?

Will have to poke at Benleopard and see if he might make it.

With his job though it may not be possible or not too late if he can.

SC glad you caught wind of this, I was going to PM you today or ask Mike to email you. If everyone interested can PM me their email addy I can set up a group so we can plan who'll bring what. Right now it's all up in the air food and drink wise except what I'm providing. If anyone has a specialty dish fell free, if any of you are herbivores I guess we can leave the salads to you Wink

Edit: Yes of course cameras, camcorders, canvas & easels are okay BUT ABSOLUTLY NO SCULPTING!
