As a few of you may know, I had eye surgery yesterday for a cataract. If I fall silent for a few days, that's because I really can't see to type. This was all done "by gosh and by golly", since I need to get right up on the screen to see for some reason. I hope the vision clears up a bit in the next few days.

She did ever-so-kindly proofread my earlier post and part of the current chapter I'm working on. I think by tomorrow my eyesight will be back to a usable level.
Right now I'm using +2.25 readers but I'm kinda between that and +2.00.
the stronger ones require I sit back and the weaker ones require me to sit forward a bit (lean forward) to see the screen. It is clear, though.

Gee Kel, 2.25s don't sound that awfully strong to me ...
As for the sit back / lean forward routine, isn't that why bifocals were invented? To give those around the reader something to watch and be entertained by?
I'm in training all week this week, and my gut hurts from doing exactly that - lean forward to look at reference materials on the desk, then sit back to look at what the instructor is doing at the front of the room. Back-and-forth, back-and-forth, all day long. I sure miss field work ...

I'm not sure where my eyes will end up at right now. I know I needed to get a new prescription for the right eye (blurry, bifocals driving me nuts) and the left eye seems to need about the same amount of correction as the right.
Still have a bit of scratchiness to the left eye and the eyelid right in the outside corner still stings when I use my drops. Other than that, this post-surgery period is going smoother than the last.
I'm not going to push it, though. I'm taking it easy at the moment. And I'm sure my new neighbor is getting tired of listening to my blues guitar playing!
